Vocals question from ATP 2001 untitled track.

Wow, just stumbled onto this thread accidentally! A little late to the party but never mind. According to itunes I've heard this song 67 times and I've never heard Noatak (although I do like the theory). I've always wondered what the "cigaretto" was all about. I think the song should be titled:

STOP THAT! Don't put it in her eyes

i was just reading up about this song on bocpages and it says,
"Track 6 was used exclusively as a loop on the Boards of Canada webpage circa 2000 and 2001. It can now be found here" 'here' is taking me to http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/38 ... .swf/?sa=0

but for me, that link doesn't do anything. could someone shed some more light on this for me?

Also tried it a week ago or so and it didn't work for me either. However, the loop's included here: (somewhere within the first two minutes, if I recall)

0:55 on the loop is the excerpt from ATP track 6... Brilliant little signal-like vignette preceding the track discussed in the OP - and I've always felt those two (6 and 7) complement each other very well.

The two tracks side-by-side form a favourite moment of mine.

I think it would make the brothers proud. He beefs up the shotty recording that was available, doesn't take away at all or add any bullshit. He did a great job, IMO.

At 3:58 in that track you can hear the vocoded voice say "you cant control, you can't stop me"

I've always liked to think that it wasn't just a sample and one of the bros said that lol.

Edit: I remember a couple of us debunked the sample in this track to be 'electric star' or thereabouts and not 'Noatak'.. But that doesn't prove that this track isn't Noatak..

From the track Apperatus: "It formed a distinctive pattern of interference - That pattern" "What does it mean?"

Is there a link between ATP07 and Apperatus? Is a rainbow effect due to TV interference? And what does THAT mean in a technical context?

We have the same quote in blue referring to ATP07 and Apperatus

We have the rainbow sample from ATP07

In Apperatus they are talking about a distinctive pattern of interference

And that is a distinct rainbow pattern of interference
