You shouldn't be selling the rest of the tapes digitally if you're so worried about Boc Maxima copyrights. Much of they stuff they used on the Old Tunes tapes is actually sampled from other songs (OH OH I'M TRAPPED LIKE A FOOL I'M IN A CAGE)

Here are some photographs taken of the tapes.
NOTE: The mislabeled tape will not be pictured, as it is incorrectly identified. Also, these are not the HQ scans (obviously.)

awesome, I like the hexagon surface they're laid on.

They also have the same markings on them that the lararixtin had on theirs that they were selling on eBay last year...

Ha! That was accidental but fitting. These, however, are not the same cassettes.

What are your favorite tracks off R35tt and both AFOT?

Man! That's a loaded question! My favorite off of "R35TT" is probably the entire B side, specifically the one that sounds like a Hi Scores outtake. AFOT... Probably Mansel or Sequoia. It's a tie. And yours?

Definitely a loaded question, and tough to narrow down too but off hand:

B09 and B11 on R35, curious which Hi Scores outtake one you're referring to?

AFOTv1: Finity, Forest Moon, Original Nlogax, Sequoia, and 5:9:78
AFOTv2: To The Wind, Iced Cooly Beatnik, Fly in the Pool, Mukinabaht, Kiteracer, Magic Teens, Northern Plastics, Buckie High, I Love My Shears (yes!!!), Solarium, Lick.

Can you tell AFOTv2 is my favorite of the three? :D

revisiting mansel, good track for sure!

Doors_Of_Perception wrote:Hello all! Alan (who is doing this beautiful job) said that he will have enough of the tracks mastered to make a sampler by the end of the day! Remember, he's had to take both my tracks AND the rips sent to me by Techboy, fix them up, and merge them (among other things!), so your patience is greatly appreciated!
Can you clarify a bit further the source of the tapes that are your dad's?

Also sorry to hear about the bad news, but I so hope you deliver!
Gladly! The tapes were given to him by his Danish friend, David.
Danish?! As a Dane, I have to know more about this. So basically a Dane named David was in possession of the greatest tapes ever? Perhaps I know someone who knows this David.

Haha! He still lives in Copenhagen today, I believe! (Actually, I think he may have moved to London, but I'm not sure. He is from Denmark though!)

I think so too! I'm very happy to get these properly mastered and mixed with all the good parts of the online copies. When I get the remastered copies, the first thing I'm going to do? Tape them! And thank you so much. It's very hard to see such a loving and energetic guy laying on the couch, exhausted and depressed from chemo...

Alan has sent me two out of the six sides so far. I will make a small compilation of them and update here. What is the best uploading service?

Cool! Uploading now. Now, it says I only have 120 minutes, which won't be enough for the whole tapes. When I release them, should I just use Mediafire?

Cool! Mediafire would be alright, Dropbox would be the best if you wanna try that IMO.

Soundcloud transcoded the files to hell. I'm just going to use Mediafire, but thanks for your help!
