BTW if anyone fancies a trip up north to see him in Edinburgh or Glasgow, you're welcome to crash on my airbed for a night, and also get pissed on some of the fine ales / cheap whiskys on offer chez mark.

yeah man I have to agree. I only really started listening like a year or so ago, streaming over bandcamp/spotify - bought it as soon as I could afford it. great stuff, it's basically on constant rotation now.

BTW if you wanna come to edinburgh or glasgow you've got an airbed to crash on in glasgow haha, just message me on FB.
edit: uh i just realised i already said that before, but yup.

christ. supporting coppé in Edinburgh, Birmingham and London in october, details:

he is also collaborating on a tune with coppé it would seem, I can't say I've heard or even heard of her but she seems to have a large body of work for me to dig into and I'm certainly intrigued to hear her live.

Grumble grumble grumble...

If anyone is reading this and hasn't listened to Christ.'s tunes yet.. Please do yourself a flavour (intentional) and have a listen.. Then proceed to purchase all he has :))))

My collection is growing slowly..

I think the digital stuff is still on sale on his bandcamp.

amazing artist. I have everything from pylonesque on in physical form, with the exception of the minerals series disc.

I really need to listen to Christ more. You can clearly see he is coming from the same place as boc in many ways, but his music has a distinct identity and it is very exciting to hear something so similar and so different at once. Plus from what I can tell and have been told, he is a sound guy which helps.

I have listened to pylonesque and a bit of blue shift emmisions. Any other suggestions? Is there any track or release that gave you some kind of 'oh shit' moment?

give "distance lends enchantment to the view" a spin. uses a lot of what sounds like sampled drum loops, the production is better than the previous LPs by quite a bit as well. worth giving liveleventwelve a listen too - it's a live set so it has a good mixture of tracks from different eras.

if you have the time and money to see him live in London this month I recommend it highly.

He did a lovely remix for me not too long ago - it's free if anyone wants to nab it. Do believe there are new things in store as well...he's always workin on something. I'll ask next time we have a chat.

I liked Distance. But no where near as much as Pylonesque, for some reason. Pylonesque has a really pure twoism like quality that gets to me. Absolom is just WOW.

Still as always I'll give distance a spin again now and mull it over.

I wish I had the time! But unfortunately it was too short notice for my work to give me the time off. I'm sure I will get another chance at some point as he seems to tour pretty often.

I guess it would be very irresponsible of me not to add his fantastic Imploded View remix to this thread:

(The full ep which also features VHS Head is now only €2 to download)
