Post by skam »

Why is it hard to believe? Like they only have done the 3 shows we all have on bootleg?

I wonder if I've ever seen them live performing under a different moniker.

There was the tiniest clip of a live Chinook set on the old website back in the 1990's along with the Duffy clip and all else, but I don't know what to believe.

I presume the have played small, low-key unofficial gigs to a privileged few.

I know this will sound ridiculous (so I don't know the worth of saying it in the first place, but anyway..) A good friend of mine, knows a bird who apparently watched them play live years ago. She didn't know who they were and was just went along with friends who obviously did know who BOC were. It means nothing really, though I'd like to meet her as I'd interrogate her very intensely about it. Another mysterious story it seems. Not much about this band is clear cut is it?

I am seriously loling @ this ^^ and I fear for this girl... one day getting intensely interrogated by some intense BOC fan about a gig she once went to some years ago w/ a band who may have been boc... lol.

Plz, if this interrogation takes place, record it and put it on YouTube :)

Wow, MDG, what fast response, you old lurker you!

I was almost tempted to make a "..mdg" account discrediting what you where saying but no point in angering Robirobi. He knows where I live now and might come after me with a chainsaw. :x

As for .mdg, you could have at least used the mdg avatar...lazy boy.

I sense a double bluff here
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

They were in Switzerland with Autechre in 1997. Back then I was two years old.

This will never happen again.

I'd love to hear news of some kind of live event - christ even if they just did a webcast from their studio to some audio/visual setup somewhere i'd be happy to turn up.

They've got to be holding the record for the longest time w/ no gig for a band that's still releasing, right?
