I'll throw down for Rush

Moving PIctures/Hemispheres, fantastic.

YYZ is way up there in my "top rockin' instrumentals"

Even the newer stuff is still of high quality, I've seen every tour since p/g! Don't sleep on Jacob's Ladder! The band sound checked it on the last tour but will not play it due to it "sounding dated". Total BS! I've always wondered how much exposure the brothers got to the band living in Canada during the heyday of prime Rush.

jacobs ladder is one of their top 5 tracks. i managed to see it live during the clockwork angels tour. and my dad hasn't missed a tour since hemispheres was released and his dad wouldn't let him go, haha. he even managed to see manhattan project, which is like their rarest song live during the hold your fire tour.

Umm, they haven't done it since the pre-Moving Pictures tour. So unless you go into a soundcheck I think you maybe mistaken!

Man I wish you did see so I could hold out hope for it! In reading this book on Pearts kits they make mention of the fact they think really the keys sound very dated when sound checking it and resist playing it.

So I got tickets for what could be the last major Rush tour yesterday, playing Houston May 20th. Paid $181each :shock: for floor seats. Billed as the bands 40yr Tour they don't have a new LP to play so it's rumored to be full of rare classics. They better play Jacobs Ladder!!

I'm going to miss this tour because I'm moving from Toronto to the eastern tip of Canada, far from where Rush will be playing. My heart is broken, but a DVD should put it back together nicely. Geddy mentioned them playing both parts of Cygnus X-1 on this tour! That would be amazing. They've got to play jacob's ladder.

Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, and Signals. Three of the greatest albums ever. They rock, and they have that synthy undercurrent and AMAZING production.

Agreed on the first 2 but I think Alex is really sub par on Signals, his playing sounds like mud or something. If he sounded like he does on this rare out take called Tough Break Signals would sound much better; basically it's the band with their Keyboard tech on vocals in the studio doing over dubs for Exit Stage Left;
