Superb. Thanks Kyla.Kyla wrote:Yeah. When I get the time I'll upload a recreation, I've replicated a Lot of Old Tunes. Currently working on Poppy Seed Reprise though.Peacock Tail wrote:Ok, thanks Kyla. I guess there's a multitude of synths that can replicate that drum sound then...!
Out of interest, do you know how to get the synth sound that plays the lead melody in 'She Is P', (the tone with the stereo delay?)
Cheers

Have you previously uploaded your recreations as tutorials or anything?

Re: BOC Gear - Old Tunes/Early Era
I'm positive all of their released albums use the S1000 in some capacity - especially Geogaddi. Music is Math has bird sounds manipulated by the S1000 and the drum effects (the looped snare) on Sunshine Recorder and the ending synth part are also run through it. That being said, they seem to play some synth parts into cheap tape decks and resample them to make it sound like they are sampling a TV jingle. I think Sixtyten also includes some live scratching that was sampled by them.
"I don't know, it makes it me nervous. I still, um, I still dream about it. I don't know, I just wish it had never happened. I regret the whole thing... the whole ... the whole thing goes over and over."

I have not yet made any. Though I'm kinda on the edge as to wether or not I should, because If you followed closely the process I have reverse engineered you're pretty much Boards Of Canada. I don't know if it's a very responsible fan thing to do opening that kind of pandoras box. What if it falls into the wrong hands ? like Deadmau5 or David Guetta ? How could I ever live with myself ??!
I will say beyond a lot of hard experimental work on the subject anyone can do the same if you read the clues in interviews and connect the dots through gearslutz.
