Wh "commissioned" that vid? Was it promo for the main release?

I love it though, guy obviously knew what he was doing with the faceless girl at the end.

not bad at all. i think it needs a little more of your own juice added to it though, not just a copy, if you know what i mean.

Yes. That was one of the first things I did when I got back into music making. I believe a link to that was also my first post here on Twoism (or one of the first).

oh wow oh wow

before 1:30 this song is amazing

i'm not as big on the boomy drums that come in later

but i love the feel you crafted for this rmx, it's a little "flatter" but in a pretty way, like a music box or a pc arrangement made sometime before sound blaster

The Slag Boom Van Loon album is an interesting listen, Fallen Angels is good. Also the BoC Poppy Seed remix is one of my fav BoC tracks.

Honestly the reprise can fuck off, it's sweet, and there's some depth to it toward the end, but by and large it's just a big fat pastiche... But the remix proper is one of the best things BoC have ever committed to tape. Shiver-inducingly good. The whole track has a very particular ambience to it that I've rarely heard elsewhere, even in other songs by the band themselves.

SUPERBUMPAGE

The percussion in Poppy Seed sounds too soft. Like the beats are ethereal, not solid. I think that this adds to the track, however, because the airy beats fit in nicely with the tone of the song. The melody is great, mesmerising. I only recently noticed how friggin' long the track is. 7 minutes!? Damn.

I did a cover of the Poppy Seed Reprise on two gameboys a while back.
You can hear it in this gameboy DJ set.

It starts around 55:55
just two gameboys running LSDJ and a bit of tape echo i believe.

I did some more BoC covers on a gameboy that I haven't recorded yet... which I should do.
