The Real Davie Addison?

Post by Meddle »

This morning someone named David Addison commented on a Bocpages Facebook post claiming to be the Davie Addison for whom the track was named after. He discussed growing up with Mike and Marcus as well as the origin of a few track names. Here is the post if anyone is interested: https://www.facebook.com/bocpages/photo ... =1&theater

What do you guys think?
Saw a blind man walking down the street
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race

Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas

It's probably the real deal, he has way too many Facebook friends from that area to be making up where he's from, at least. There's also a location between Cullen and Buckie that probably influenced the band's name too. Done being creepy now

Sorry for being dense, but what do you mean by the "band's name"? I thought that they were influenced by the NFB, hence the name BOC? I feel like I'm missing something.

How long 'till Wendy Miller and the Nova Scotia Robots end up reappearing too?
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?

If the Nova Scotia Robots ever return to rise up against their creators, we are all doomed. Doomed, I tell you!

There was a thread a few months back that had a link to an interview with Christ. which said that he smoked cigarettes a lot, someone came up with a theory that Christ. was "Smokes Quantity."

This episode of Camberwick Green is called Windy Miller.
Theme song sound familiar to you as well?

Well, if that is the real David Addison, if I were him, I'd be very pleased to have a song like that named after me.

I love the way Davie talks, and I think it's totally legit. What a champ for sharing. People never forget childhood friends and you can sort of tell he's being truthful by his choice of words. Maybe they will all reconnect, and catch up.

I always thought it was a reference to the 80's TV show Moonlighting which had a main character named David Addison.
