I remember years and years ago, I was talking to a geezer in a pub, I think he started to talk to me because I had a Black Sabbath Master of Reality t-shirt on, and he told me about a website called HELL.COM. He told me to go home and have a look, but also warned me it was a bit fucked up and trippy. Hah, this is so weird because this post has triggered off that memory.

I remember getting home half-cut and logging on. And it was fucking weird and it was trippy lol. I was also using the family computer and for some reason that frightened me off going any further, I dunno, just seemed creepy back in the day.

9999 is interesting. It yields an animated sprite pig dancing while a montage of various images from buildings to pornography flash in the background. The audio is the beginning of Creep with some synth pads layered over it.

Edit: it appears as though the audio is random for that one, or there are at least different tracks, because upon opening it again I heard some Eno.

This one is really bizarre, because I've heard everything from Joy Division to The xx sound clips on it... Meaning that this page/ these pages have been updated as late as 2009.

If the Sixtyten loop is really on one of these pages then we've got a lot of searching to do.

At least late 2010, since on one of the pages, I recognized animation including a character from the "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" cartoon show.

Wow is all I can say. You guys went far and beyond digging stuff up. Mega THANKS to all the users here for finding these links. I would have never had the patience to discovered them all by my self.
First off looking at these sites again bring back really cool old memories - thanks again. Looking at that 69sign site was pretty awesome/strange. It definitely had the hell.com aurora to it but it look like something done a little later on in the site than when I visited. I can see it has more recent tunes associated with it than what was around in the late 90's. This link though http://www.0100101110101101.org/home/co ... nvas2.html is what I remember seeing back then. It's where my buddy and I heard the sixtyten loop I believe. I am positive it was sixtyten too and not something similar. I can't mistake that loop for anything else because it stuck out in my head. It sounded so original I always thought.
I e-mailed my friend to ask about the track he used the sampled loop in and I'm just waiting for a reply. It's been so long since we spoke of it honestly. He's probably going to laugh
It's something that's been on my mind about BoC for a while. The loop we heard on the site was a lot different from the album though, that's why I've always thought about it. It was the first melody part from sixtyten but it played the whole loop without the percussion parts and none of the other layered melodies from the original track. That led me to believe it couldn't have been sampled from the album. Also the melody it self seem to morph some with like an echo or delay added to it I remember.
I never believed BoC had a hand in developing hell.com but I guessed they were aware of it and maybe they did contribute said loop to them for fun.
I said it before it could be impossible to ever find it again though. I know how BoC has stripped any old existence of themselves and their tunes off the internet over the past decade. It could have been deleted per request of the band once they became more popular? I can't say.
I just know it was there at one time, and I wanted to know if anyone else had seen it besides my friend and I. Another cool part of BoC mystery in the end I suppose.
Special big thanks again to all the users digging up these old sites! I actually find seeing this stuff again a lot more worth it. I knew twoism org could help shed more light on this.

I just know that this page http://www.0100101110101101.org/home/co ... nvas2.html looked really familiar when I seen it. As soon as I get word from my friend on all this I should have more info to help out. He has been pretty busy lately because he started a new job out of state so getting a hold of him has been tough. I'm sure I'll speak with him before the weekend is over though.
