Listen to the DROKK album they did for the Dredd movie. It's amazing. Musically it reminds me of Tomorrow's Harvest, it has the John Carpenter thing going on.

Yeah, same here. DROKK and Tomorrow's Harvest kind of have the same vibe going on.

Now we're on the topic - Geoff tweeted about BoC:

You know, this means a lot to me because I'm a big fan of BoC and Geoff's work. Nice to know that Geoff is really digging it. Would be cool they meet up and start a side-project :D

PS: Ex Machina is a great movie!

I definitely think DROKK and Tomorrow's Harvest are drawing from similar influences. I think if you took all of the weird samples out of TH, pared it down to simple synth lines, it would sound a lot like DROKK.

Saw this last night with this post knocking around the back of my head.. Honestly it sounds like a Geoff Barrow production to me, which it is (with Ben Salisbury)

If there was a most-like moment, I'll say that slow oozy sequence that breaks out when Oscar Isaac has been stabbed by the robots.

I just happened to see this movie last night (before seeing this post) and the whole damn time I was thinking "This sounds kinda like boards!" too

I liked the soundtrack but the movie was just OK to me

Going to check out this soundtrack

Another one with John Carpenter influences I can strongly recommend is " It Follows by Disasterpeace"

Wow, the "It Follows" soundtrack is ace, thanks for posting that. It's possibly even more "Tomorrow's Harvest" than the DROKK record. The start of the second track, "Title", sounds so much like Gemini.

It doesn't really sound anything like Portishead! But if you like DROKK, John Carpenter, and Tomorrow's Harvest then you'll like it.

I just hope the film is as good as the soundtrack.

Good movie, enjoyed it, not actually feel boc sound here, more good tense music moments, and the scene with room 5 was perfect !

I know, but anything that comes from 1 of their members can't be bad.

Hence the username ;)

This is true. Have you head Beak? That's pretty cool. There's one of the DROKK tracks that sounds exactly like Beak, it's weird, really sticks out from the rest of the record.

Hey thanks I read about this movie and forgot its name before I saw it.

I tried googling tons of search terms like 70s looking sci-fi mind control movie vintage graphics 2013 2014 etc.. and it did not appear. That's all I could remember about it.
