Thanks lyst. Yeah I'm feeling very hiphoppy these past few days. With a bit of luck I can make a cool little experimental-hiphop cd soon. Its starting to look like it. I just need to find the words.

Much different, much more dark and slow, but my experimental hip-hop E.P. is as follows:

Woah, someone from Preston.
And that looks like Gem. I can tell by that safety notice by the light switch. The one that uses speech marks in all the wrong places.

A whole lot better than what you've uploaded to Soundcloud previously. Reminds me of Kinesthetiac if he didn't shy away from distortion as much.Lens Larque wrote:

I created the theme song to a dramatic television programme from the late 70's/early 80's. Probably shown right after Quincy.

Fun with the re-trig, Scenes and Performance settings on the Analog RYTM.

Part of an aimless side project.

Cool stuff rodheh. I get the lowbit mp3 vibe is intentional, but you might want to put something on top of it. Like reverb maybe? Those little chirps would sound cool with reverb and more like its supposed to be there, that its audible that something somewhere is producing that sound. Very subtly.

Re: --The post what you are working on *right now* thread--
Thanks. There's reverb, a shitload of it, in the source track. Though when I wanted to layer that one with the low bitrate one, it ruined it a bit. If I don't throw this away and use it for something I'll likely use a common technique I've never named where I play this from a loud stereo in the other room and take a medium quality recording (Cowon X9 onboard field mic). That recording is transferred to a cassette tape where I then take a high quality recording (ZOOM field recorder) of the track playing through the speakers of the little handheld cassette player. Then it'd be EQ'd to go with whatever I was putting it with once it's on my PC again. Through at least three generations on different media before settling on the most comfortably "fucked" recording.Cupz wrote:Cool stuff rodheh. But the track is aimless and wasn't something that took a ton of time, so I may not find anything to include it in.
