While continuing counting in my head after 36 in Aquarius, I noticed that it's like if the lady realizes that she's really mixed up at some point (sixty-ten, 6, 7) and then remembers the correct next number in the sequence with a bit of hesitation: 56. All mixed up again after 56 though ...

This doesn't really count as "listening", but has anyone else ever noticed the double meaning of the title "Ready Lets Go"? Your first instinct is to read it as "Ready? Let's Go!", but there's no apostrophe. The other way to read it is as a thing named "Ready" lets go, or releases. So it can be read as "Ready? Let's Go!" or as "Ready Lets Go", as in Ready is not holding it anymore.

You are right, there is no apostrophe. Because of the absence of the apostrophe, it is either a typo or it does not mean 'let us'.

If we are correct this is quite a play on words, one that seems to have eluded the fan base at large.

Interesting video.

In Aquarius, has anyone ever noticed the child's voice kind of on the right channel at about 4:27? It's right when the lady says "17" or "70" and it kinda distracts from her for a second. Does anyone know what it's saying?

I just noticed that in my new car, when you put in a CD, it uses Gracenote to list track and album info, and also shows you a little photo of the album cover on my dashboard screen. When I put in MHTRTC it originally showed nothing. No track names or even the artist. A few tracks in, I noticed it said Boards of Canada and just the track name, without a cover photo and without saying the album's title. I am not sure what track it started, but about 3/4 of the way into the album, I finally noticed the cover photo actually showed up, along with the artist and track. At no point did I notice it ever listing the album's name, which it always does with other CDs.

The question is did BOC deliberately mess with the CD's data info and load the track names and info all cockeyed on purpose?

I doubt it. It's probably something to do with the age of the album.

Any CD usually has the same info showing throughout, though. I put in Trans Canada Highway and it showed the album cover photo, artist name, album name, and each track name. That didn't change throughout the entire CD. MHTRTC seemed to change throughout the CD. Some songs showed artist only, some showed artist and track name, and then some finally showed the cover photo. Not every song showed the cover photo, is my point. Someone would have to change that data per track for it to not show artwork for only some tracks.

This is either an issue with your CD player or your specific CD. Surprisingly CDs can degrade, if it is an old one it could have damage. Or your CD player is not tracking correctly.

I any think of what else it would be. They definitely did not mess with the metadata on purpose.

Could the car info come from a satellite? I live in a wooded area, and I wonder if it couldn't pick up the track info in certain spots. It says "powered by Gracenote" right before tracks load.

Nah I don't think so mate. It is more likely a real voice vocoded or otherwise processed in some way.

I assume you mean the one that goes '8 8 8 8 you don't know...'?

Yeah, it starts at around 3:00 in the left channel, and the "8 8 8 8" one at 4:00 in the right.
