Re: The Official Video Games Thread
That's still the same engine? They certainly seem to have pushed it to the brink. Also seems to have allowed them to focus more on art style this time. Kinda getting a bioshock 1 vibe from the graphics in regards to art direction. Fuck, I am not ready for this game, but thankfully I think my PC will be. Considering how massive Bethesda games are it would be crazy to expect AC:Unity level (which is arguably the best-looking open world game and still runs like garbage on the current standard of hardware) or Ryse type graphics from this. Seems like it makes up for any technical shortcomings with a gorgeous art direction IMO.

Don't take my word as gospel mind you. I am not one of the developers.
But I feel very strongly that it is Creation.
I agree I like the art direction, but graphics aren't the only thing the old engine is holding back. Gameplay could be much better with a new engine.

Can I be in that game as a monster that kills you if you go to the wrong screen in the forest?

Sony's Project Morpheus is supposed to be quite good. I think it's the VR headset for me. due out in Q2 2016. I'm also interested in Valve's idea of a VR Headset. We'll see once more info is available.vballs wrote:I havnt read it but Facebook bought oculus, so I can imagine meh!!. E3 2015
Final fantasy 7 remake confirmed
Really not sure how I feel about that one. Some things should be left alone.
Also the Last Guardian is still going to happen
If it is half as good as ICO or Shadow of the Colossus it will be great, it looks fantastic.

FF7 remake, that can be cool. Why would a remake be bad? The graphics have not aged nicely...
The Last Guardian looks like I should be excited about it, but I'm not lol

Re: The Official Video Games Thread
Well FF7 is a game close to my heart, when it came out in 97 it was one of the best gaming experiences of my teenage years, I love the graphics how they are, even by today's standards, to me they hold a certain charm and I wouldn't change it for the world, I much preferred the blocky polygon characters and pre-rendered graphics, it led to the imagination somewhat. Anyway I am curious about the remake, I just hope they dont fuck with it so it is pretty much a different game entirely (in terms of gameplay), like what they do with these shitty cash grabbing movie remakes that completely suck ass. There are too many people remaking things from my youth, its annoying, like they are saying it isnt / wasnt good enough but really its just cash grabbing as the half the work, script and ideas have been done already. Hope im wrong about FF7 remake though.Najlepsiejszy wrote:FF7 remake, that can be cool. Why would a remake be bad? The graphics have not aged nicely...

As for the Last Guardian, I imagine there are a great many people who wouldn't be excited about it; I wouldn't be had I not played ICO and The Shadow of The Colossus. The Last Guardian is basically an Extension of those two games, not a sequel but rather it shares the same world. If you liked those other two games you would probably love this (excited or not). I've seen a lot of people online moaning about the graphics being "outdated" due to how long its been in and out of production but i couldn't really give a shit.. I don't see why people are always so bothered about the most current up to date shiniest graphics. As long as the graphics have a certain charm and create the right atmosphere all is good I say.
Thisis my longest ever post on the forum...I am very bored at work you can tell haha.
