I love it! Always have. It is such a simple track, just the pure melody with lots of nice reverberation and some more detail in the background. I like how you can tell where they've looped the tape or whatever they used live, because the melody stops at an unexpected point and starts all over again. 9/10

10/10

Trans Canada Highway is one of my favourite BOC releases.
Under The Coke Sign has almost a Pre-TH feel to me.

Although im in The UK I can really imagine standing on some lost highway,at a petrol/gas station and imagine I can hear the said coke sign squeaking/rattling in the breeze or the whirring motor of the coke machine and car radio picking up hiss and static, as I stand looking out towards the horizon with the road /highway reaching out beyond. somehow the image of clouds moving very fast across the sky with odd little flashes of light and a static charge in the air, comes to mind, warning of something about to happen... :)

A powerful track with a beautiful chord structure, great dynamics, and nuanced timbral transformations. BOC also were also very meticulous and restrained in regard to their use of voice and space on this track. A find it difficult to give numerical ratings to tracks. Again, comparing this only to other BOC tracks, I think a 6 or 7 would be appropriate.

Such a good song
Another amazing closure to a great album
I always turn my record player up to hear quiet section of the song and I love how the melody changes slightly while keeping to the same chord sequence

A cute idea. A lot of people don't like the track because they see it as a John Cage (or whoever else) ripoff. The silent track is one of those ideas that are really widely played with. You're successful with such an idea only if you can make it new. I think BOC were successful in their attempt to show the humour in it being often claimed that they use subliminal messaging and are Satan worshipers, etc. The track is not really meant to be enjoyed in and of itself. It's there only to bring the album length up to the Devil's number—and perhaps to poke fun at other silent tracks.

I will say, quite boring, but this track is so shoe-gazey, it makes me kinda like it.

7/10 pretty solid IDM track. It's simple and charming in that early BoC way.

Transmissiones Ferox (I love this one, the flow of the track reminds me very much of Steve Reich, and the 1999 sample that they manipulated to sound like 'dying dying dying' sends shivers down my spine.)

under the coke sign.

this track is like an immediate form of meditation. as soon as it comes on, i am instantly centered. and begin to experience an emotion that i can't quite put my finger on, its kind of like a peaceful melancholy
9/10

7/10. Nice track, but not particularly interesting to me.

Kiteracer 2. The sheer beauty of this track is beyond words, I hope others love it as much as I do.

10/10 no question. Reminds me quite literally of flying small hand kites on a beach in Cornwall when I was a kid, beginning of September with autumn just coming in, grey skies giving an odd tinge to the already pastelly colours of the sand and cliffs. What a great track, I wish I could listen to Old Tunes 2 for the first time again :}

Woops! - 7/10, decent nonexistent Boards track with a good bassline. Percussion reminds me of Magic Window a bit.

(Sick Times is a 6.5, 7 maybe, decent real track and probably in the top three "traditional" tracks of TH.)

6.5/10. Not a very big fan of TCH compared to their other albums, and this track feels like it floats by unnoticed when I'm listening to the album. Pleasant, but nothing special to me.

Nice little funky vignette, the percussion is a little annoying to me though.

Nice melancholy melody, one that always gets to me a little. A little shorter than I would like it, it kinda cuts out when it starts to pick up. It bothers me a little that you miss out on half the track if you only have one earphone in.
