Whoops okay that's the vinyl artwork then, never even seen that before, just noticed it for the first time on the Kranky soundcloud, how sad is that??

Question is do I still deserve to get the reissue now? (I gotta say though I think the CD/Digital artwork fits the music much better in my opinion.)

Wonder how high the "high cost" will be. 3 x LP and there's two of them, plus shipping. Are we talking mega bucks? Or do we think they'll ship some over to the UK? I really hope they do, because if not, that is such a money spinner.

Just about had a heart attack when I saw Stars of the Lid in Pitchfork's news feed. 8 years later and I'm still a little kid when it comes to this band.

yea just copped that, the shipping is added on again, so $120 for the two, no combined which is an odd way of doing things. it does not say what the shipping is. you'd expect $40 each then $20+$10 additonal or something = $110. ah well. i wonder what they will sound like? with the amount of shit pressings over the past 3-4 years, worse for record day, i feel the money spin is starting to catch up with them all and good order. good for original version value mind, they don't make them like they use to then some.

All my recent Kranky pressings have sounded great. The last Loscil LP sounded sublime and that's the kind of record that will really show up a bad pressing. I'm as confident as I can be that these will sound good.

I agree that the higher demand and lack of pressing plants is starting to have a knock-on effect on quality and lead times. Still, the pressing quality is nowhere near as bad as most of the '80s.

Yeah, tbh the Tim Hecker, Loscil, AWVFTS and Grouper pressings I own are all very good, so I am confident too that they will be decent. Despite a lot shitty presses these days, some records are still pressed well. Even huge represses like the Beatles Mono box set, which is some of the best vinyl I have ever heard.

UK people are you pre ordering from their site? Or are you waiting to see what happens? I am torn, I don't wanna wait too long but then again I don't want to pay over the odds.

I've asked my local vinyl dealer if he can get them in or if I should go ahead and order direct. He's always really straight with me and gives sound advice. I'll let you know what he says.

Anyone tried asking Adam and/or SOTL direct? Mr Wiltzie has answered questions I've asked him on FB in the past, albeit before AWVFTS went stellar.

There isn't a chance in hell for me getting them if I need to get them imported. I am so broke it's unreal, I can barely pay for the ticket to Dorset.

Nice one Ian, cheers. That is a point though, if no UK distribution is set up, then presumably we'll have to pay import costs? 75 quids for both will be quite a nasty little add on charge when import tax is included, I remember I got stung with that when I imported Decline over from Canada.

My source tells me that they will be getting distribution in the UK, but no definite details quite yet. As soon as I have any more concrete info I'll spread the news. Sounds promising though. :)
