It just makes it easier to read who's saying what. And I am friendly, to most people. :D

I miss the hip hop beats prominent on twoism and mhtrtc; Left Side Drive did have some similar percussion in it.... maybe future music will be more "glacial" as was stated about the Trans Canada release

Some people want dark stuff, some people don't...hmm...
Geogaddi is, I think, my favorite complete work by them. I love the darker stuff, but then at the same time tunes like Roygbiv and even Dayvan Cowboy never fail to put me into a good mood. I wouldn't mind a mixture of tones; sort of a best of both worlds. Maybe an album that starts with some darker material and gets lighter as the record goes on, or vice versa.
As for vocals, I wouldn't mind more samples. But actual singing? I dunno if I would hate it or anything, it would just be something I didn't see coming.
you can say the sun is shining if you really want to
i can see the moon and it seems so clear

You know what would be really cool. An album that takes the form of a psychedelic drug trip. You start off with some really pretty, anxious sounding stuff, and slowly the album gets more and more bizarre, and intense as it goes. Finally, it hits a climax and then mellows out with a "coming down" sequence of really epic, yet beautiful melodies.

This, however, is how certain sections of Geogaddi are set up, in my eyes. But, a whole album, focused like that would be really bitchin'. Perhaps I'll make one! Haha.

An entire album to trip to would have to be a few hours long (for mushrooms at least.)
Although a 12 our acid trip cd from BOC would be intense!

Oh totally. And you know they could pull it off effectively, too. Not only do they have enough material, but they also are so damn good at making me feel like I'm on drugs even when I'm not. One of the only artists to do that.

uhm Geogaddi? :D

I think all their albums are built like that in one way or another...TCH is also like a psychedelic road trips wich starts trippy and then mellows out with bittersweet melodies...all their stuff is like that I think.

vocals as in singing, im up for it if its made in a good way :D

vocals as in mikes girlfriends chopped up voice, im up for it :D

vocals as in sampling Leslie Nielsen or whatever his name is, yup.

no problem, thanks for explaining the grumpyness (you get my respect if its worth something, probably not on this forum ;)), im having this bad cold but its good to talk BOC, makes me happier :)

Another question is...do you believe that Boards Of Canada will release the next full proper album (not the box set) sooner than we all think? and that we not have to wait 3 and a half year? I heard in interviews that they will not wait as long with the coming one, but you never know with BOC, they stated a lot of things in the past....

they also build a new studio thats working nicely now..so you never know..

They're building a new studio? OMGHOAX!

Anyway..

I'm starting to think it's going to be a "quick and dirty" collaboration album, just to get more material out there while the iron is somewhat hot.

So, it will come out sooner than we think and contain some of their favorite artists.
