i agree.
sixtyniner has such a lost feeling to its sound. i love the track so much.
anyway. dawn chorus is such a great boc track. i picture the sun ripping through the sky creating shadows through the trees. much like if you are on a road driving and the sun keeps hitting your eyes repeatedly through the trees. there is def. something spooky about the track, as with all of geogaddi

I don't really have that much of a feeling for Dawn Chorus, but Sixtyniner is the track that has the most value to me as I used to wake up with it, and the feeling I get is as if I am alone in the woirld, but there is something good to it, something that makes me comfortable, it makes me get a comfortable warming sadness that makes me stare endlessly into the weall only listening to the track and thinking

Yes, twoism overall is lonely. That is the overriding feeling of it. Ironic, the title obviously leads you to believe otherwise.Ashtray Wasp wrote:I don't really have that much of a feeling for Dawn Chorus, but Sixtyniner is the track that has the most value to me as I used to wake up with it, and the feeling I get is as if I am alone in the woirld, but there is something good to it, something that makes me comfortable, it makes me get a comfortable warming sadness that makes me stare endlessly into the weall only listening to the track and thinking

But also the album picture is a film about a group of people which die one by one and the last two are the ones in the picture, which are "hugging" in a last humanly love demonstration.Aerial Boundaries wrote:Yes, twoism overall is lonely. Dawn Chorus is one of my favorites too, and I get similar intense feelings. My visual interpretation of it is like walking through a day in the summer on 2 hours of sleep, feeling dizzy, weary, and faint, but watching how everyone and everything around you is full of life; active, running around. It's full of heat, and it's stuffy and humid, but in a forced sort of way, happy, and euphoric. It's just amazing.
In my opinion it's the best track on Geogaddi.

prob one of the most psychedelic tracks from boc, like, split your infinities, the beach at redpoint, turquoise hexagon sun etc, it's loud and twisted, it's like being out in the fresh air after spending 2 years in the deep bunker

The supersaw reminds me of breathing, like if you had a supersaw harmonica and deeply inhaled.

Ya, it's definitely a summer song. Every summer since Geogaddi's release, Dawn Chorus is my most played track.Shizuka Rizumu wrote:Dawn Chorus is one of my favorites too, and I get similar intense feelings. That's the exact reason why I dislike that song. The production is so overdone that it's nauseating. The vocal sample with the delay on it is cool, though.boredoms wrote:But it literally makes me nauseous... the weird female moaning in the background gives me an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling.
BoC is an autumn band for me. Summers kick off with Autechre and then shift more toward BoC and Aphex later in the year. The latter two are the optimal accompaniment to cool autumn wanderings around unknown places, with no destination and no definite plan. Geogaddi and SAW II always bring back many great memories of those occasions.747Music wrote:Ya, it's definitely a summer song.
