I REALLY want to buy flying lotus "when the quiet comes".

I'll sell you my collector's edition copy of it. It isn't in near mint, though (and I won't be able to ship until after August 9th or so). It hasn't been played that much, so the vinyl and the interior is fine, but there are some marks on the front cover that somehow got there through mysterious causes that are unknown to me.

Thanks for the offer, but I actually just bought it today! Got it at a good price and I can't wait to play it. I think I've bought more than enough records to last me for a long time now.

It definitely doesn't, I've now started getting a penchant for cheap and ubiquitous vinyl which you can find on discogs going for 70p or something.

I've gotten to the point where I don't care at all about a vinyl record unless it's an out-of-print limited edition signed white label test pressing with original art and handmade jacket, and a personal handwritten letter direct from the artist. Or at least something that isn't easy to come by and empties my wallet with a single blow.

Bought the Eraserhead soundtrack in Chicago. First pressing, no baby picture pull out, but that's okay, it sounds great!

Pay day.. all first press, now I am completely broke. Baked Beans for 4 weeks.. totally worth it.













This one I really shouldn't of, but it's meant to be THE best Beatles repress ever. Infinitely better than the Stereo version which came out a few years back. These are pure analogue presses from the master tapes, and the quality, attention to detail and faithfulness to the original presses are meant to be second to none. So much easier than scouting out for decent originals..

Nice one. I have it on both CD and vinyl! Are you new to OPN or have you already enjoyed his other releases?

I'm new to him, though I've listened to most of his major releases thoroughly.

I got this one because as much as I usually like to be chronological, r plus is the one that really poured lemon juice directly onto my brain.

His releases have been gradually getting very slightly worse since Returnal, but that's just because you can't beat Returnal. He's still great and I'm hyped for his new album coming soon.

Idk, I think r plus is difficult to compare to his other work, and it seems to be a polarising one. I think it has less filler, and it is a big change for him which is exciting.

Boring Angel, Cryo, and Chrome Country feel like filler to me. I'm also not a fan of the vocal synthesis and the sampling style that were used in R Plus Seven.

I'd agree only on cryo. Wouldn't be as good without the other two.

I get why you don't like the sampling and vocals. Most people seem really put off by them. But I love how cheesy they are. I like how he said that the vocals are "trying to be something they're not."
