That's one of the minority on there which haven't to my knowledge appeared in anything. But it's BOC, so perhaps you can find it somewhere buried in a track, right down under. You know just as one of those little flourishes.
Have many of you guys seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8ipmYU ... be&t=4m55s
I feel like I'm probably late to the party seen as the video is from 2013, but I like his little story of where BoC live and the demo that he was given back in the day and never released.
someone put that jd twitch video up on reddit a couple of weeks ago. interesting stuff. he has IABPOITC on white vinyl, nice!
I think this might be mentioned on BOC pages in one of the rare press interviews. I recollect something about someone turning them down for a release of some product, and they ended up doing the deal with skam.
I got it from Reddit haha, thought it was worth posting for anyone who wasn't on the BoC Subreddit Interesting stuff, he must be kicking himself after turning them down.
Where does the whole nostalgia thing come from with BoC? I can't remember if they've explicitly said their music is meant to evoke it? Or is it something fans have projected onto the band?

I'd argue that Erik Davis's seminal review of MHTRTC in the Village Voice was where this first became the go-to trope for describing their stuff. I blame him. https://techgnosis.com/melancholy-machines/
It's not necessarily a blame game. I don't argue that their music is clearly evocative of nostalgia, and for a lot of people their it provokes particular memories, I just couldn't remember where it all came from.
