Always had B10 (Smallest Weird Number reversed) pegged as Remmy Kid.

The EP is Play by Numbers, the song title is Remmy (ie remedial) Kid, the song length is right...its technically "the smallest weird number" from Play by Numbers...

I could tell early on heh, R35TT might be mine too. Interesting, your list puts the more 'folky' sounds and the more MBV-like sounds all through the 1989-1994 timeframe. I like it, I'd always assumed the folky sounds and the piano + early keyboarding work (which I figured led to the trademark synth style) were strictly earlier (88-92ish?)...and the more MBV-influenced stuff was later, 1992-1994ish. Maybe too-linear thinking of me there. First stab here at my guesses:

- A01 reminds me a lot of Duffy (Acid Memories/1989ish?).
- A04 I always figured was one of those re-re-re-dubbed 2 boombox pieces, well before 1988.
- A05/Finity is like an awesome side experiment evolved beyond an experiment...if I had to guess, 1993 at the earliest.
- A06 and B06 remind me of Circle (Hooper Bay/1994ish?).
- A11/Blueberry (raising the stakes) obviously well before MHTRTC but so trademark BOC synth...maybe 1995 Twoism timeframe?
- A13's dreamy side makes me think of Play by Numbers more, but I must defer LOL.
- A14 Closes v1 sounds good to me.
- B02 sounds like the melding of synth and drums is still in an early stage, maybe 1990ish?
- B04 even sounds like the same mental place as 'Wouldn't You Like to be Free?' which backs your guess (Play by Numbers/1994ish?)

By the way, something I forgot about...Doors' copy of R35TT was titled "Marcus' Picks of '94". The 1st time I saw it I was like "uh wtf?" To be honest, it looks like a dead ringer for the handwriting from Old Tunes. Is it possible they did the comp themselves and forgot? How much of a wack twist would that be?

Whoah where'd you find this again? If you believe R35TT is BOC then that's from the same source as B04 as far as I can tell. The only curveball I see is its band is compressed...like a combo of mp3 compression and a dub of a dub of a... And that ending trail off doesn't look anything like a copy-paste to me either, at least not its spectral band. It makes the manual fade-off of B04 look obvious, looks perfectly logarithmic.

And that ending trail off doesn't look anything like a copy-paste to me either, at least not its spectral band. It makes the manual fade-off of B04 look obvious, looks perfectly logarithmic.

The fade out looks legitimate when I open it in Audacity, I just made a sweeping statement from how it sounded before I actually analysed it at all Strange that we haven't seen this before as far as I know.

See to me it really does sound copy pasted, you can even hear a click! Its just the whole track's been degraded so much it covers it up a bit.

Yeah, I had to really crank my speakers but there is indeed an audible click in there. Looks like my initial suspicions are pretty much confirmed!

Usually mdg is pretty fast to tell us if something is fake. And hes always watching . Someone earlier said "does he have to confirm its fake twice?" if he already has, then why is the authenticity even a question?

My ears are not as good, I have to depend on yours for that. I put it back up against another copy of the track and saw a pretty clear pattern, further back around 4:26-on. The note does sound unnaturally held there. Maybe someone wanted to see what it sounded like not as faded? I wonder about motive w/this stuff, but beats me.

Last year when I contacted MDG regarding the Closes Vol. 1 cover, I also asked about those songs from that Soundcloud page. MDG's response was:

I'm going to try to find out what these tracks are on SoundCloud - but I suspect they are fake, sorry.

After about a week I messaged him again and got no answer.

I think the uploader of that numerator video confessed its illegitimacy somewhere here on twoism. Does anyone remember where? I could be wrong.
