BOC orchestrated - which tracks would like to hear?

I have touched upon this in a previous post; lets say BoC would follow the steps of Metallica or Aphex Twin (Icct Hedral) and have some tracks covered by an orchestra (either a philharmonic or a more 'tribal' oriented one). Which tracks would you like to hear? The Mira Calix cover of 'In a beatiful place...' showed that BoC music can definitely be reconstructed and performed by classic instruments. A track such as 'Amo Bishop Roden' is furthermore almost as made for a classic string quartet.

As for me; this would be my five spontaneous picks:

1: Palace Posy
2: Amo Bishop Roden
3: Dave - I'm a real traditionalist
4: Gemini
5: Alpha and Omega (suppose this would be a challenge though :lol:

)

hmm

i feel like it be easy to say any song, yet for example, a song like Dayvan Cowboy may feel too referential and overtly 'epic' sounding for an orchestra. i feel like BOC tries to avoid that kind of obvious dramatic feeling that is heavily embraced and sought after in music today.

does that make sense?

Absolutely to Amo Bishop Roden for string quartet... that sounds beautiful

Not exactly what you asked for, but Stars of the Lid playing an extended version of Heard from Telegraph Lines, and IABPOITC with Bilinda Butcher/Elizabeth Frazer on vocals.

In terms of the original question I couldn't say really. Maybe something really challenging to do with an orchestra, like Telephasic or Sixtyten

True. With Metallica and Aphex, it seems more like they went for straight orchestral covers. I don't think this would work well with some tracks, such as DC - which would sound 'too polished'. I like the approach of Mira Calix, where there is nothing added, yet the track has been significantly reworked into something that share the same eerie, desolate feel, but which is far more melancholic.
