Most beautiful song ever made

Mary Waits in Silence by Current 93, no doubt about it. Despite it's incredible simplicity, something about it just gives me chills every single time I hear it. It must be the passionate way that David delivers the lyrics that gets me, but the studio version has those soaring woodwind crescendos in the background and that dreamy tone that evoke a very divine sensation, as if my soul is becoming one with Christ. Michael, Joolie, David, and friends really knew exactly what they wanted on that track and it turned out perfectly.

Just below that are The Herald by Comus and the untitled Aphex Twin track that's popularly known as "Lichen".

I've been listening to a lot of FlyLo lately and I absolutely love "Aunties lock / infinitum" from his Los Angeles album.
Those ambient pads throughout the song are just gorgeous

In spite of my limited knowledge, I feel this may be the single most beautiful recording in Brazilian history. Call me crazy if you may.

These days I'm torn between "Emily" by Joanna Newsom and "Oh Comely" by Neutral Milk Hotel.

Both of them are just monumental pieces, with their meandering, bittersweet, and evocative lyrics and all their mini-movements. Really top-notch songwriting.
