Chris Cunningham - Rubber Johnny

Post by enrgy »

What do you think of new Chris Cunninghams video with music by Aphex Twin ? IMO it's amazing and also spooky - just wached it in dark room at nighttime so it freaked me out a little

I can't believe noone replied yet...

Anyway, it's ok but nothing special imo.

I really don't know what the fuss is all about and why there is a DVD out of this short movie.

And as far as I know he worked on this video for quite a while...

Yeah, I have to say that I was a bit miffed when the damn thing ended after about five minutes. All of the build up made it seem like it was more of a longer piece, but then again, I also figured there would be some more Aphex music in it as well. Nonetheless, it was pretty interesting, and I rather liked the credits with the train, for some reason that worked for me and my twisted mind.

It's nice. Not outstanding enough to live up to the hype but still really nice.

I don't think the hype made any more promises than what was given. Non the less, it was tad on the short side and a bit unimaginative. The fast cuts and sync'ed imagery has been done too much in the electronic scene I think.

The book was nice too look at, except for the photoshopped cunningham-arse pics (yeah, thanks for the bonus arse-sticker, warp...).
