While looking for the ice fishing video I found an interesting comment on a similar Alaska themed Sesame Street clip:
Yes, I do remember it. The ice fishing one was quite memorable too. I vividly remember the boy excitedly counting the fish he caught.
Counting, huh?

Nope, Gyroscope's voices are from a numbers station recording they were given by Autechre.

Anyone up to contacting some collectors from the Muppet community to see if anyone has the full, uncut episode?
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?
Spoiler: show
Unfortunately I have no clue lmao. But while you're here, go ahead and check out some of my tunes! You might dig 'em and stuff!

A few volumes of Old School Sesame Street have been released on DVD.
So far only 1969-1984. There is a good chance that episode might appear on one eventually.
It does have some classic bits on it, like "The many me's" animation.

I decided to contact Sesame Street about season 22 or more specifically - episode 2852 since the season is unavailable everywhere - both in retail stores and digital stores, and lets be honest, I really wanna get my hands on that episode. It's been 5 days now, and I still haven't received any answer. Though, if I remember correctly, their costumer service rarely replies, which is fairly annoying.

There must a copy of season 22 out there somewhere.

Also from the Muppets wiki entry of this episode:
O for orange
Could this be the source of the sample in Aquarius?
Red -
Orange - Aquarius
Yellow - Alpha and Omega
Green -
Blue -
Purple - Music is Math

Yeah, that was found quite a while ago. If you check the video for that on YouTube, you'll see comments about BoC dating back several months. It's also on the bocpages page about Aquarius. :)

Could be a numbers station, but I have a suspicion that Gyroscope's counting might be from the as-yet-can't-find-it "Geronimo with birds" cartoon. Slow down the counting voice in the other Geronimo cartoon and it's very similar, in particular the "zero".

No, it's literally from a numbers station: they mentioned it in an interview, this has been a known fact for a while.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but a person in the video comments says that the town in this sesame street clip is actually Noatak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2PuP-GtgPo

Supposedly the ice fishing clip is also in episodes 3162, 2820, and 2375. Finding one of those should also suffice.

If nobody has mentioned this (I don't know), the video of the people in Alaska contains the "bye..bye..bye..bye...bye.....bye" bit as well at the end. Some seriously chopping/processing involved there or an alternate source, but that's definitely it.

Anyways, Gyroscope sample:

Apparently the recording was part of TCP. Sean's handing it down to BoC apparently is nothing more than that (some people seem to wonder whether or not the recording was made by Autechre themselves and it appears the answer is probably no).

If anyone manages to get a hold of the episode or any other episodes containing any of the sketches within this one, please do share. I have actually been looking for one particular sample source ("NOOOAATAAAAK") for quite some time.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

At about twelves seconds in, a boy says the word Noatak in a Sesame Street episode. Just saying.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to do some digging around now for a few others as well now that my curiosity has grown...process all suspect...make a few comparisons...

Retraction on what I said about the "byes" being from that segment. Completely forget that's in "Many Me's" one for whatever reason.

Kids. They all sound alike!
