I'll be playing live in the mumble for a while. You are welcome to listen.

Sorry I haven't been able to drop by. Bunch of different issues. Going to add the server now.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Re: The BoC IRC
finally i can uninstall skype. i cant see me installing mumble though to be honest. irc runs in a screen on my server, can easily drop in and out and catch up on missed messages etc. been connected almost continuously since april 2013 haha.
Re: The BoC IRC
Still alive and kicking. I notice some new users coming and going five minutes later. I would suggest hanging out a few hours longer then that
I'm not on all the time, but a lot of the time.

Re: The BoC IRC
So, here's the deal. I'm just posting this here since I don't really need to make a larger thread:
The Telegram room is fine and the application seems solid. It doesn't have a call feature but otherwise is quite reminiscent of Skype back in the day, before it was owned by Microsoft. It has the other features like quick file sharing that are good for productivity/collaboration between Twoismers.
The Mumble server is currently hosted by Cupz and if he ends up closing it, my cousin nearby has very, very, VERY good internet and would be more than happy to host it.
The IRC is of course still the same.
I am currently idling in all three. I think that for anyone concerned with communicating off the forum, these are good solutions. For those who don't want to enter their phone number to use Telegram, the IRC is there (though seriously, I wouldn't spend your days worrying about the NSA or whatever and I'm sure the only reason phone numbers are involved is because it is a smartphone app with a PC client, that's all). For anyone who wants an enhanced version of that, there's Telegram. For anyone who wants to hear Cupz play electric accordion (or have a prolonged discussion where you can lay down/multitask), there's Mumble, which is also cross platform and a lot more on the stripped down/simple side.
Info will be posted once it's set in stone.
Join any of them, all of them, none of them, whatever's best for you if you want to discuss things off the forum. I can now attest to Telegram's functionality, and even though I'm still more an IRC guy when it comes to just text chat and I don't want to see that replaced, I'd recommend Telegram along with the others for anyone interested.

Re: The BoC IRC
I think what might be an idea, is to unsticky this thread and add and sticky a new Twoism Chat thread that links to all options available, including their respective threads. What you've done Jonse is write a neat synopsis helping people select the best option for them. Cheers.
Let me speak to Ae and if he concurs I'll tidy things up.

Re: The BoC IRC
It's quite dormant in there, not a lot of action. I too wished I was around when TH came out. :/

I wish the IRC were more active as well, it would be nice to get away from Discord and Skype a bit.

Just get in the Telegram group! It's really active, we do music theatres, basically it's lots of fun.
