A Few BoC Remakes/remasters

Post by Cosmic Manta »

Hey!
A while back I posted a topic asking which songs you'd like to see on the BoCset. I took a few of the suggested tracks and recreated/remastered them. Here they are!

Boards of Canada - SAY Thank You Speech (remake): http://puu.sh/m5A7k/b6f5f62954.mp3
Boards of Canada - Audiotrack 6A (remaster): http://puu.sh/m5Adm/9b736197ec.mp3
Boards of Canada - Fly In The Pool (remake): http://puu.sh/m5AeZ/d001c6c0c4.mp3
Boards of Canada - Kiteracer 2 (remaster): http://puu.sh/m5Ai6/424b175405.mp3
Boards of Canada - ATP Track 7 (Noatak?) (remake): http://puu.sh/m5Al4/1698b1ed76.mp3

Enjoy, I hope you like them! :D

I used the SH101 VST with a mixture of a pulse wave and a saw wave. Here's a picture of the patch:

I recently remade the tune from the italia telecom commercial. I don't know the correct name for this but have a listen.

The proper name of that track is Flute Frum Thing. Also, I think you might have that track on private or something since the link you posted just 404'd on me.

By the way, nice job on all of those remakes, Manta! I once sequenced a basic remake of the drum patterns from ATP-07, but all the samples were wrong. Terekhova's recording may sound nicer but I think that version also has the echo associated with being farther back in the venue. If you really want to dissect the drum patterns in that one, you've gotta listen to the original recording by jbible (which sounds crap by comparison but the percussion is much clearer).
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?
Spoiler: show
Unfortunately I have no clue lmao. But while you're here, go ahead and check out some of my tunes! You might dig 'em and stuff!

Really awesome job with the remakes! I fear that might be as close as we ever get to hearing ATP 7/Noatak :/
