When I was 13 I started some stupid MMORPG on the net and I gave myself the name "Berselius from the North". Actually, I think it came from the fact that I liked chemistry and Berzelius is a famous swedish chemist.
Sorry for my bad english.

Many years ago, my English-speaking friends started to call me "Fernie" for short, and I liked it enough to use it as my name. I just don't even bother come up with a funny/creative alias for myself. I like my name, and I wouldn't try to define my identity through something funny or clever. I like having an arbitrarily chosen name.

I named myself after a motorway service station which I can see out of the window when I'm at work.

I like it because it looks like a spaceship from the 70s.

You can see proof of this in my profile picture.

Dutch town called Stavoren (I don't live there) and made it sound Latin.

Stavoren + -ius = Stavorius

I also liked, because it sounded like Stradivarius.
Out and about.

I really liked Portishead when I started playing Call of Duty United Offensive (also the only game I ever really played), and at first I didn't really play it seriously, so I called myself Bever Herman (Beaver Herman). After a while I got in the best clans on the patch I was on, so I needed a more serious name, which became portiss or portihz. I just kinda stuck with that, even though I haven't played a game online for 5 years or so. Can't be arsed to change it into something else.
You must have been in my clan at some point then. LWC. Myself and a few buddies put it together. We even bought a computer that's sole purpose was to run a 24/7 CoD dedicated server. We ran the obviously immensely large operation from our apartment in town. I was 16 or 17 at the time. I was cock of the walk at school, living without parents, running an amazing online clan through an amazingly fast 1Mbps DSL line. Of coarse we had no food and were a bunch of drunks and I was a drug addict, but our K/D ratio was fantastic! And our recruitment methods were fair... for the most part. I built an HTML website from scratch for our clan for recruiting and stats n stuff. That website was awesomely awful. Unfortunately it does not exist anymore. I don't even think the company who hosted our site exists anymore lol.

Funny thing is that I was also just really getting into Portishead at the time. Well, at least their self-titled album. I didn't really listen to their other stuff until later.

Not sure where it came from really, amalgamation of an old inside joke/acronym amongst friends (opoth) and apothecary.

I smoked a lot of weed and was utilizing psychedelics more than I needed to be when I first started posting here, so it's hard to remember the whole thought process involved.

Psyche.
I just like the track Boqurant.
