Just got Health Care for the first time in over 10yrs and found out right away what I could tell, I have rheumatic arthritis in my hands and have decided to stop playing drums for good. I know I have other health issues, got a heart scan done Friday and going in on Monday for blood work. I spent the last 20yrs trying to destroy my body and it looks like I'll spend the rest of it trying to repair/manage the damage. The thing is all the meds have serious side effects, like colon/stomach cancer so I will have to weigh the options... :?
That sounds rough--I might not know all the details of the health problems you're facing, but as you know meds with side effects can often be a two steps forward one step back sorta thing. My girlfriend is very knowledgable of homeopathic/natural health remedies (her whole family is involved in natural health), if you let me know the issues you're facing I could get a second opinion for you!

Thanks, that's very kind of you to offer. I have knots in my hands and knuckles, constant pain in most of my joints, hips, knees and ankles. Started taking Cleabrex to help with the swelling but it causes me to feel like I have vertigo if I tilt my head or bend down. I've done some reading on it and will try to avoid any dairy products from now on, only really eat cheese and ice cream, not milk at all. But from what I've read it could be causing some of the symptoms. I have a blood test on Monday and I have to fast for like 12 hours, not sure I can do that without ripping someones head off due to low blood sugar!! :x

I'm no expert, nor qualified in any way, but it sounds like an anti-inflammatory diet could help? From what I've read of such things, giving up sugar and wheat might help as well?

For both joint pain and inflammation Nicole would recommend these two wonder supplements: CuraMed and CuraMin. CuraMed is a natural anti-inflammatory that also has antioxidant properties, while CuraMin is a natural pain reliever that also works to increase circulation and rebuild cartilage. The idea with both these homeopathic options is that they don't just treat your symptoms--they also provide your body with the nutrients it needs to actually rebuild the trauma and make your body better at doing the things it naturally wants to do (such as healing itself). Like most homeopathic remedies they can be a little pricey (don't go for any other brand than Terry Naturally, they've figured out a patented formula that gets the most nutrients actually absorbed into your bloodstream--if you snoop around the internet you can find a good deal), but if you can invest just $50 dollars a month into it you'd really be giving your body a leg up. If you have any additional questions about the supplements feel free to ask/PM me and I'd be happy to answer them! If you've got more room in your budget, you could also try Baxyl--the combination of Baxyl, Curamin, and Curamed did wonders for me after I fucked up my neck playing drums like an idiot : )

That's terrible to hear, Torn N Frayed. I wish you all the best in your health. ADecentMan looks like he's posted the best option here. I'd like to add this though, I know Candida can contribute to rhuemetoid arthritis and lots of other health issues. I had that tested when they were diagnosing me with fibro myalgia and bipolar. My tests were negative for Candida problems though. It would be best to take a test before trying natural solutions because Candida problems will interfere with your body absorbing vitamins and stuff. So it might make taking natural stuff useless.
