I don't think I'm allowed to call myself a musician anymore. All I do now is this garbage.

Sounds like a valid way to make music to me. Could use more depth, contrast and variation. If you have a ton of these it might be interesting for you to cut them up and reorganize them into full tracks.

Well it works for Steven Stapleton, so I guess it could work for me. I've already made a long collage track of sounds like these for a current project and I'm going through my old shit to look for more material to make a few others. But this kind of directionless meandering always feels fruitless until I actually go back and take a retrospective look at the results.

What industry? I have a lot of friends in design an motion graphics, and they seem to pop up as frequently as they get shut down. Seems like a really volatile environment; meanwhile. I'm serving coffee and it's the longest job I've had haha

Good stuff, extremely BOCey, but done with taste.

That Obsolete Advancements track is something else too :)

I focused more on the mood rather than rythm or melodies. Anyway I'd love some feedback as it was big deal to me to put something on the web and actualy almost no of my friends know that try to make music, so i never had a chance to hear form anyone what they think :).
Straddles lo-fi/glitch/ambient; evocative, though possibly a tad...cold for repeated listens.

One thing I noticed: most of the tracks are short. It's hard to fall in love with something always fleeting.

I feel like this is the best thing I've made in a while..
Not sure whether I should leave it at the current length though..I'll probably make it longer, add some more stuff right before the end.

Trying to wrap my head around microtonal/polychromatic stuff, since its not used very much and : http://expandingmusicalconsciousness.co ... SNESS.html
is way too confusing for my lil nut brain

What i have going on there is 106TET, each instance of the synth is pitch shifted by 14 cents which is probably wrong but its starting to make sense and sound okay.

Finished making a really quick simple tune to check the difference with and without microtonal, here are the results:

I've found MicroTonal techniques tend to work best on pads. One Pad an octave higher than the other then tweak the tuning until something sounds nice yet rich. It's really easy to make things sound gross quickly though.

Finished this song yesterday ... took me about 7 hours in all.

One of my housemates split so now (temporarily, 'til we find a new person) I can use The-Room-Formerly-Known-as-Lucas's-Room as a studio ... it has some nice natural reverb (wood floors).
