Re: No Autechre - feed1 thread ?
*puts on a second pair of glasses*
I've been listening to Autechre for over 10 years and I find that my favourite stuff has shifted from Untilted (I was really into it when it came out - intense glitchy electronica/noise was my "hardcore emo/metal" phase in my teen years, Ae, VSnares, Black Dice, Merzbow, etc)
My taste as I've grown has become more appreciative of melodies and progressions, so I've found more enjoyment lately out of their first 3 records.
In particular Incunabula is one which has quite a bit of replay value for me.

Lol at TTK's teen years. I've started to feel a bit like that about BoC as well to be honest.

opinions CAN change. i was 100% Ae back in 92. heard BoC and thought that shit was puss.
that view changed thanks to Pete Standing Alone.

I think there's an element of challenging your horizons when listening to relatively extreme music such as Ae. Even if I swim back to more melodic waters, listening to music outside my comfort zone is an important part of that. Sometimes I'm surprised that something that alienated me before is now more appreciated.
FWIW, I really liked the Oversteps / Move of Ten period. Exai less so but still some great moments in there.

No, I think that's pretty fair.
you're getting over 4 hours of material.
