Apparently all the Sesame Street Alaska segments were filmed in Noatak if a comment on the "I Love Alaska" song was any indication. I'm willing to bet it's also in the Ice Fishing clip somewhere.
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?

Would be pretty great to find the "Noataaak" sample within the Ice Fishing clip. Would put to rest anyone speculating that the voice isn't actually saying that.

The ice fishing clip does indeed feature the people of Noatak, Alsaka.

You know, I processed the hell out of the sample in that video and although the pronunciation is slightly off, the overall phonetic sound was similar enough that it could have resulted in that vocoded snippet. It could also be that it was re-recorded. It could also be that it's a different sample of the same word, now knowing that it isn't pronounced wildly differently.

All that said, I feel it's a little redundant. I have little doubt now knowing that this tape going all the way back to Old Tunes provided samples they'd use all the way to at least Geogaddi that the voice is saying "Noatak", though it could be something very similar as with the revelation that "for sand and stars" has been "we'll sail to the stars" and nobody seemed to know or hear it. The redundant bit is that with this same thing in mind, paired with the fact that samples used for track names often appear in different tracks, confirming that sample in the ATP track still doesn't confirm it is the track of the same name. Makes it a little more likely, but that's about it. It still sounds like something I'd expect to hear on Hooper Bay with its minimal structure + dark ambient segment not too distant in tone from Circle, and while I'm still going to continue using that nickname for the track like others, it'll possibly be nothing but speculation forever.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

While that is true, I still have a gut feeling that this track is Noatak. The fact that the vocal sample is at the forefront of the track, as well as it pretty much being the only word spoken throughout the whole thing, just seems to signal all the right things to me. All speculation still though.

Do you know where I can find the "Elmo wants to be a grouch" segments?

A playlist of all of these clips would be good. I couldn't find that segment either.

I commented on the video asking if the uploader could post the kid in Alaska vídeo, he said yes but it's been a couple months...

Does that mean the uploader has a tape of the whole episode?

Holy fuck, the bit at the end of the boy counting the fish he caught is the same as the vocal sample used in Olson V3 and Dirty Great Mable!

As soon as I heard that counting, I knew exactly what it was: https://puu.sh/rvsk1/f34869f96a.mp3

I've made a youtube playlist of episode 2852 in case anyone wants to look for some samples:

Only two segments missing, one with the name "Lake (time-lapse)" and other where a veterinarian fixes a baby robin's wing, which I'll upload in a couple of hours.

I haven't listened back extensively, but is the sound of the fish flopping around in the water just before the counting around 1:45-1:50 the same as what we hear in A is to B as B is to C?

Indeed it is, and the splash from 1:40 (just as the fish looks backwards and is pulled from the water) is repeated a few times in Aquarius!

As we were watching the Alaskan Ice Fishing video, my girlfriend cleverly pointed out that the very first thing the grandfather says is "Ready, Let's Go" : 0
