It's from "Finnegans Wake" Book 1 Chapter 5. If you search on this site for "Opening the Mouth" and click "Opening" which is underlined, you actually get an explanation that it's a reference to the Book of the Dead: http://www.finwake.com/1024chapter5/1024finn5.htm
