what the hell
yeha dude what the hell my band have ben recording for like 3 weeks now but our final product keeps coming out bad...we've been micing guitars and basses in differne trooms and my drums with 4 of our better mics but still are final product is not coming out that well...like it sounds pretty good when we plug the phones into the roland recorder and adjust the volume leveles to what we think is great...but the problem is that
when you try to burn the cd with the cd burner included the levels you chose like go back to flat and we havent found a way to save it with the new levles...
so what we tried what using a guitar cable from the headphone jack into my computer and the final product was bad and muffled....
this is prolly a useless thread but like what the hell...i hate technology...the fucking manual for this thing is like moby dick good god lady...but like how do people get so crisp of sounds are justs sounds like soemone shit on a piece of paper and marketed as hardcore punk music

Welcome to the never ending battle of trying to make things sound the way you want them to sound.
Does it sound the way you want out of the mixer through headphones?
What sound editor are you using? And within that sound editor, what is the max level you're seeing?
Is the guitar cable you're plugging in to the PC mono or stereo? If it's a guitar cable, I would guess that it's mono..

yeah, its like really good cd quality from the mixer into the headphones
we just kinda imported it onto audacity from the phones on the mixer to the mic in my computer...we had some trouble because the line in volume on my comp was maxed but we fixed that...and i beleieve the max level were seeing there is like 1 to 2 decibles...i beeleive
and you know i kinda noticed something last nite about that guitar calbe that it only had one band leading me to think it was mono but i didnt think anything about it...ill check into that and see if my guitarsit has one in stereo...
but yeah keep in contact wwbjd....help me wwjbd, youre my only hope....star wars wha what
on a sidenote, we did try going from a red and white cord from the monitor input on the mixer into a normal mic jack on my computer...the line in volume was maxed so it wasnt the best stuff but im gonna try it again...and to add to it i dont have the best soundcard so i may try it on a nother friend of mines computer at a later date..but with the band pushing for anovember release im just getting stressed out cause i wouldnt put any of this stuff onto a cd
