Soulseek is still quite popular. There's a lot of obscure stuff on there that you probably won't find anywhere else.

Can confirm, looked up Tangerine Dream on there awhile ago and found some really old (70's/80's) rarities. Also just for giggles looked up Boards of Canada and there were at least 3 different, mislabeled copies of the Old Tunes saga.
