It's possible, depending on the questions and answers specifically. I'm sure they'd use a lot of discretion in their answers so as not to ruin the fun. If it happened and a lot of the questions asked got a reply of: "Sorry, I can't answer that for you. Next question please." I'd still be a happy Boccer. And I still have no idea what my question would be. haha. It's been so many years now and I have no clue what I'd ask. Maybe I'd give up and just ask what we've all been wondering for years: "What do you prefer: Tomato source or brown source?"Cupz wrote:A boc AMA would kinda ruin the fun for newcomers woanit?

Do you call it _brown sauce_ in Ontario? Where I'm from we just call it HP.747Music wrote:It's possible, depending on the questions and answers specifically. HP is a brand of brown sauce. Not all brown sauce is HP. That's kind of like calling every hamburger a mcdonalds.

I am just going to believe this is the case from now on.Kyla wrote:My theory is that it's just one brother screaming at the other to do everything while chained to an SH-101 in his attic.

It actually happens a lot. Kleenex, Popsicle, Aspirin, Heroin, Thermos, Scotch Tape, Sellotape, Dumpster, Band-Aid, Realtor, and Coke (in many US states, coke refers to all pop/soda): these are all genericized trademarks.Cupz wrote:HP is a brand of brown sauce. The case for HP in Canada is a little different. It's the only big brown sauce here, as we consider things like A1 to be steak sauces. HP, of course, is often used as a steak sauce, but we also sometimes use it on other stuff like you guys in the UK and elsewhere. It's nowhere near as ubiquitous as it is in the UK, though. You guys have ketchup and brown sauce on the tables at your sit-down fast food restaurants, where we usually have mustard and ketchup or just ketchup.
Anyway, because of this, I was confused by 747's post because, we don't use the term brown sauce where I'm from at all and was surprised to hear him use it as he's from Ontario. He may just be pandering to all the UK people here, though.

I used the term "Brown Sauce" as it is an inside BoC joke: "Source: Brown Source or Tomato Source?" from the cassette tape insert they made with the Roygbiv alphaquest mix on it.

Here in Ontario we call all brown sauce "barbecue sauce" as it is generally used when BBQing, "steak sauce" is used here too.
The "delicious bread that's just out of reach" is reference to the BoC food puns thread here on twoism. Renaming the song "Reach for the Dead" to "Reach for the Bread". I was lacking any resemblance to decent sleep during the time. heh heh.
And know we all know and another moment passed. We laughed, we learned, we cried when we realized time is running out and we just spent time reading my odd, sleepless post being explained.

Interesting. We differentiate BBQ sauces and steak sauces here. BBQ sauces are generally sweeter and smokier, whereas steak sauces are pepperier and more acidic.747Music wrote:Here in Ontario we call all brown sauce "barbecue sauce" as it is generally used when BBQing, "steak sauce" is used here too.

Re: Do we know which brother plays what?
i believe mike plays his copper espresso machine better than marcus. marcus is more of a slowly-put-tea-in-a-bowl guy.

Re: Do we know which brother plays what?
You are correct. I suppose I don't think about sauce enough to keep steak and bbq sauces in a different category, heh heh. They all go on the grill. Delicious stuff the both of them. The only rule I know and need involving BBQing is that I am to have a beer in one hand and appropriate BBQ utensil in the other. Perfect steaks every time.Echo the Sun wrote:Ah747Music wrote:I used the term "Brown Sauce" as it is an inside BoC joke: "Source: Brown Source or Tomato Source?" from the cassette tape insert they made with the Roygbiv alphaquest mix on it.

We had to have talked before. I know that I know your username and have seen plenty of your posts. Been 10 years now for the two of us, but I'mma say ya, we've talked before. We're just too old to remember specifics.
I'm wondering if the maple leaf is a hint that you're in Ontario, perhaps near Toronto

Re: Do we know which brother plays what?
mike's on the chapman stick while simultaneously playing the bari sax (vocoded) marcus has got one of those goofy ass full-body bass drum, snare, and horn outfits you see in old movies. It looks bad, but that's actually how they recorded Julie and Candy in one take. marcus's vocals are exclusively screaming the word "EGG" and they just edit it in post so it sounds like a SH101.

I'm fairly convinced that the 'Are you listening' part of Aquarius (version 3) is one or both of the brothers.Cosmic Manta wrote:marcus singing vocoder marcus singing mike is singingPeacock Tail wrote:Untitled (machinedrum) "Mike is singing. Marcus singing."
