IABPOITC Blue vinyl

I picked up a copy of the blue vinyl version of IABPOITC because the shade of blue looked wildly different from the version I had (and have seen elsewhere on the internet). I assumed it was a different pressing, but all the numbers etc are identical. Is this normal for coloured vinyl? Has anyone else seen this for this record?

Dang, that's a pretty big color difference. Mine is the typical "sky blue" on the left.

I also have the typical sky blue one on the left. I remember reading somewhere a while ago that the coloring was just on a gradient between the two pictured. If it wasn't an intentional look I'd guess it was due to the pressing plant trying to conserve their pellets/pucks

I have your version as well! (pictured on the right). I had no idea there was anything unusual about the deep blue vinyl; I just assumed the pictures I saw online were washed out / faded!

I found mine used in a record shop for around $22 Canadian, I was so happy.

But yeah, I didn't see anything on discogs or anywhere else to indicate that there were 2 variants.
