I binged this show in two weeks flat and all of the sudden I want to break all of my electronic devices, throw away my monkey teddy bears, and move to a forest with no electricity.

I liked some of the new episodes (esp. Crocodile and Black Museum) but I definitely think the previous season was Black Mirror at its absolute peak. That run of eps from Playtest to San Junipero is top tier television. The one with the bees is excellent too (forget the name)

I love dystopian and speculative fiction so Black Mirror is perfect TV for me. I wasn't sure how the move to Netflix would pan out but the last two series have been superb. There's really no-one else doing anything like this, or anywhere near as good.
One of my favourites from the latest series was Metalhead, critics didn't seem to like how much was left unexplained, but for me that was its strongest point.

First episode of the latest season, with the star trek stuff was really cool! Even without the black mirror nightmarish stuff it's genuinely good sci-fi. Brooker got writing chops to be reckoned with!

I wasn't actually aware of the series until last year and being someone who is a rather massive technophobe it hit all the right notes for me. Of the most recent season I have only seen the USS McAlistair episode so far, very well directed and the usual twists in plot. I'm not sure if its just the fact that Brooker has the same dystopic view of potential future technologies as me, but more than half of the time I find myself able to guess almost the entirety of the plot and any twists about 15mins into the episode, though.

For instance, in the aforementioned episode, the second he gets out his cotton swab I knew straight away that it was for collecting the DNA of his coworkers to somehow encode them into his videogame

Again, a very good twist and unpredictable if I was someone who hadn't already seen a fair few episodes, but after a while the nature of the twists in the story-line become somewhat predictable as they follow similar lines.

For me it feels Brooker has moved on from relying on plot twist to pack a punch, maybe he never relied on them at all and it was simply how the first few seasons turned out. So I don't mind some of the predictability. There are also a lot of things throughout the show that points towards every episode being in the same fucked up universe, so you'll get the gist of things watching a couple of episodes.

I am very happy the show is getting as much attention as it's getting. Hopefully it will make some people more conscious about tech-ethics (let's hope some internet-of-things devs are watching). Makes me think not all is lost. And it's an anthology series, which is so rare these days sadly and really the only kind of series I can watch nowadays without feeling I've wasted valuable time hitting yet another cliffhanger.

If you're looking for another anthology series, you can't go far wrong with Inside No.9. It's been consistently one of the best things on TV since it started. Mostly dark comedies, but each one very different. The first couple of series are on Netflix, the latest currently on the BBC.

The Twilight Zone.

I kind of like that the plot points are ridiculously predictable because it shows how close we are, in some instances, to the plot in real life. Just the fact that some of these episodes already feel some sort of familiarity is enough to creep the living hell out of me. I don't not want to know what happens next, I want to semi-know, then when it does, ironically check my Fitbit for my heart rate. We're already basically rating everybody on a scale based on what they place on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and we've been treating criminals like they're animals, but watching them closely on the news for ages...it's just embellishment for what's already going on for an episode.

For example, Cupz in an egg right now turning my lights on and off. Stop it, Cupz! Leave them on!!
