Possible Closes, Vol. 1 tracks

Post by Fez »

I'm not sure if these have made their way onto Twoism yet, but I stumbled across this earlier today. Seems like it's worth sharing.

They sound too clean to be as old and worn out as the tape/equipment would be, but the tracks really do have a BOC sound.

You can always tell a BOC fake by how much they overcook the wonky tape modulation effect. This is a good case in point. Apart from that fine effort though.

These are really good but my favorite fakes are still the "Orange Leak" tracks.

The way they were dropped on the community was so brain-dead dumb that nobody ever took them seriously as real tracks but taken on their own merits.. I love em.

Someone suggested that this is Jega? But why wouldnt Jega release this stuff?

Those tracks were the Gem Atrium tracks that were posted here as a fake TH leak. They've still got a bandcamp up but not with these tunes on there any more. Not sure I ever heard anything beyond speculation they were Jega...

These have been around forever, I think they first showed up around 2001 on Soulseek. No word from mdg or any of the other hexagon sun officials on whether or not they're the real deal but it does sound like them composition-wise, these tracks are quite the gray area.
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?
Spoiler: show
Unfortunately I have no clue lmao. But while you're here, go ahead and check out some of my tunes! You might dig 'em and stuff!

That Magic Timeline track was great.
I AM GOD. THE ULTIMATE RESONANCE.

There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.
