After all this time, I have finally found it. When I went to the page that linked to the video on the BOC Pages, both links were 404'd. So I had to look up a web.archive.org link of the Jan Richter-Friis webpage, and by looking into the source code, it read that the file that was on there was simply "telecom.mov". A couple of google searches later and I finally landed on this one page.

For the Nissan ad, I did some digging and had to reverse image search a couple of pictures that I got from some old Web 2.0 looking website, when then led me to some URL on a Pinterest image, which then led me to this page!
As for the BMW ad, strangely enough, it's also on that same website. However, the commercial is different. It doesn't have Kid For Today playing in the background, and it's dubbed in German. Maybe someone talented enough can re-edit the footage to replicate the original?

This is great, cheers. Always loved that video. For years I thought Mr Dicaprio was saying "Ora", something in Italian, who knows. I just realised it's "whatever"

Circle?
That was one of the tracks credited to Marcus Eoin alone in the copyright database thing. I believe it's just a bit of sound design.
Yes. There is a DVD of Chris' works that came out in 2003 and it specifically says that this music from Boards of Canada, so it's attributed to them, even if it's a bit out of character and just Marcus.
I apologize for the necropost, but did anyone at the time this was posted download the .mov file from that Mega link? The account I had used for that link got deleted and the Beam.tv page that hosted the file is now gone as well. I checked the web archive and the page was never archived. I should have uploaded it to archive.org in retrospect
