Re: Twin Peaks: The Series and its References
Yeah, so, Twin Peaks fans, I stumbled upon this recently made YouTube video that is pretty impressive. The vlogger guy gives a four and a half hour(!) explanation of Twin Peaks, including FWWM, and is a detailed take on how to interpret everything.
I watched it all in sections, because it's so long and goes into such depth, my eyes began to glaze over and I had to take breaks. I did absolutely find it to be worth my time. For one thing, putting this video together must have been a real labor of love because it's extremely professional looking. Second, whether you agree with his interpretation completely, partially, or not at all, I think you'll find it worth checking out. It gave me a lot to think about.
I'd really love to see what other Twin Peaks/Lynch fans on here have to say about it.

Jesus. Four and half hours?!?
I love Twin Peaks and Lynch in general but even I baulk at 270 mins.

Yeah, like I said, I didn't watch it all in one sitting. I watched some here and there over the course of about a week. Now I'm re-watching Season 1 and probably will go through the whole Twin Peaks experience again. Because why not?Mexicola wrote:Jesus. Four and half hours?!?

Yup. Did that in the run up to season 3 and it was time well spent.

In the middle of booking a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco in the summer. One of the highlights of the trip (and one of the reasons for going) will be at least a day spent in the Snoqualmie/North Bend area, visiting Twin Peaks locations. Can't wait.

I lived in Seattle for about 5 years! Snoqualmie is every bit as beautiful as it looks on the show.jcnporter wrote:In the middle of booking a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco in the summer. That's good to hear! It's probably the main reason the trip first occurred to me. There's something that draws me to the Pacific North West, anytime I've seen it, in pictures, on film..I've been to BC on a previous trip, really looking forward to travelling through the rest.turquoise70 wrote:I lived in Seattle for about 5 years! Yeah, it is damp and chilly this time of year, but it is very beautiful. The early seasons of the X-Files were filmed in around Vancouver BC if memory serves me correctly. They touched a bit on the atmosphere of the place much like Twin Peaks did, too.jcnporter wrote:That's good to hear! It's probably the main reason the trip first occurred to me.
