Thank god Tycho eventually found their own sound, lol. Just took a few years.Mexicola wrote:(avoids Tycho punchline)

For real though, I like Tycho okay, but it's true. I was just in a record store the other day that had Tycho but no BoC.

Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
Numeration is always interesting, it's a slight derail from the thread but I've been spinning it tonight and its made me wonder if Simon Raymonde from the Cocteaus clued them in on this little easter egg from Heaven or Las Vegas, or if they figured it out on their own and pointed it out to him over a bowl or two at some pointFlory wrote:Numeration.
Replace the first letters of the song titles with a number.
1. Cherry-Coloured Funk
4. Fifty-Fifty Clown
9. Road, River and Rail
10. Frou-Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires
1 - 3-3-6
4 - 6-6-3
9 - 18-18-18
10 - 6-6-6
The dashes in the song titles is what gives it away to me - the devil is in the details.
Now back to your regular programming...

I have spoken to Simon on a few occasions but not about BoC.

Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
822 is definitely number wang
Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
I was referencing numerator but that dose sound a bit devilish
this thread is full of shenanigans.
Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
Wow. Stuff has gotten so deep while I've been gone. Still hopeful for new music soon!
Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
Actually, it was presented upside down which would mean that it is Wangernumb.Nottoolate wrote:822 is definitely number wang
Pretty sure 228 is Numberwang, though.
Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
(My post count ironically now ends in a 228 and I am superstitious as a direct result of tomorrow's harvest so this is the comment I feel forced to leave to get it up to 1229)

There was some interview with BoC where they mentioned that they were friends with him and that they would like to do something for his label if they had the time and that their contract with Warp didn't prohibit it.

Nothing to discuss. They bumped their video playlist up to 159 videos on 3/28 (same date last year that activity started up for the year)Flory wrote:Bump
Uritual is 1:59
Think of the title as a concatenation of sorts describing this ongoing process - in the end, this "harvest ritual" is just them taking the piss.
So what do you think 159 means? Slow that bird down and pull a U turn
