First time i heard of this band, i read an interview with billy corgan in guitar world magazine around siamese dream era and i bought the album loveless and tremolo. I was confused. Tremolo came in a digipak and loveless came in a jewel cd case. I listened to honey power and at the end of the song i knew that's what gave billy corgan the idea how to piece the song soma together, because at the end of the song and i know boards of canada have done the same thing and it's what i call a breather. From the excitement the song gives out.

Is this Loveless reissue hitting record shops or is it exclusive to the official webstore?

Also, in case anyone's interested, MBV are on the cover of this month's Uncut Magazine, which also happens to include a pretty neat compilation CD.

Sherb, currently no. I asked that same question to one of the website team. I think the band want to get as much money for this as possible, before having to deal with distributors etc. Early reports are saying it sounds really, really good. I'm excited!

I listened to the full NPR interview last night. Seems like a painstaking amount of effort went into crafting those analog remasters! I still can't believe I haven't got around to grabbing Loveless yet, although the fact that Kev was hinting at a 45rpm 2LP version makes me wanna hold off for a bit longer.

Also, I get the impression that this new EP will be the length of an album, but he's classing it as an EP is because it lacks cohesion. I'm cool with that!

Remasters are brilliant, both pressing and packaging. Did anyone get the extra version of IA? It's a rejected press from Kevin's time at Abbey Road with Sean Magee, only given out to the initial run of orders. I got one, but there must be a good few thousand of them I imagine. Already going for silly money on Discogs, bastard flippers! It sounds better than the actual cut of IA in my opinion.

They've also been announced to play the South Bank centre as part of Robert Smith's festival. Unfortunately, I can't go because i'm going to Iceland. Hopefully more tour dates will materialise though! Go on Kev.

The London show sold out around a month ago. It was announced as part of the Meltdown festival curated by Robert Smith.

Bit of a bummer, but I'm assuming a proper UK tour is somewhere on the horizon, especially if they have two EPs to unload soon.

So stoked to see them again in NYC. They play their music so loud that you have to surrender... then you're transported.

I saw them at the Birmingham Institute last night. Despite technical issues and false starts throughout, I still thought it was a corker of a show.

Was hoping they'd play some new stuff or have mysterious vinyl on the merch stand, but no dice!

Is The Institute still going? Bloody hell! Not been there since 1993. Saw Tool there when they still released records.

Yup! Owned by O2 now. Been a couple times before, but last night was my first gig in the main room. Good venue.

Have MBV ever played Colston Hall in Bristol? I feel that would be perfect for them.

That's Colm second from right. He took up guitar duties for Wonder 2 while the drum loop was being played on a backing track.

There was also a 5th person (far left) on keys/guitar for certain tracks. Google says it's Jen Macro, who's been a live member since 2013 apparently.

FFS - London sold out already!

I would be almost certain of them leaving the smaller venue UK tour dates until after the American leg of the tour, they will most likely come back and play places like the Roundhouse and Apollo. The ones we have had so far in the UK was a warmup gig and the first of their European festival circuit, so don't lose hope.

Second new song (prefer this to the first) if anyone is interested. Really nice.
