Re: --The post what you are working on *right now* thread--
https://m.soundcloud.com/redwoodsequoia or https://www.soundcloud.com/redwoodsequoia is my melodic, down tempo, BoCesque stuff
https://m.soundcloud.com/sequoiaredwood or
https://www.soundcloud.com/sequoiaredwood is more my electronic, 303 driven stuff.
All of it is done through hardware. I say this not to pat myself on the back but just the way I work.

To those few I've shared it with (based on the many PMs I assume you know who you are) - do I release that thing as is or what?
I don't know if I'm totally down with the whole "representative of the (frustration/disappointment or whatever) you have at current" thing that I seem to keep getting as a response because I feel like I could be doing a lot better...but I haven't integrated new work into the otherwise broken .mp3 I've sent around because something TFB said struck me in a peculiar way.
I don't think much of anything I've done lately is very strong. Even if you don't know what I'm talking about.
How would other people here go about finishing something that's started to take its own form by the means of others' words?
That is, at odds with what I maybe intended? Is trust the issue? Whether it's actually good or not? Forget any particular material, more or less to anyone who has reservations about their work after releasing some amount of it and hitting the "now I need to compete wall"...anyone have any solutions or advice? Anyone actually trust what you're told and see it be the truth? I don't know what to do.

I'm making a weird quirky animal themed lofi album for the heck of it
There was no reason for me to stay in the real world any longer. In the real world, it didn't matter if I was there or not. When I realized that, I was no longer afraid of losing my body.

It's cool. Just some nonsense, probably.Flory wrote:Don't let people manipulate your music by feedback?="Jonse"I don't think much of anything I've done lately is very strong. Even if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I have an (un)finished ambient thing in about three or four different forms and I have spent more time hiding CD-Rs with cryptic info around the world lately than I have finishing what I think isn't done. The reason I'm not sure is because I realised someone's comment about it (in its incomplete, not entirely mastered state) being reflective of my disappointment and frustration right now as I deal with a ton of deprathy [I have coined this personally as far as I know, as I know not how to express this emotion somewhere distinct between depression and apathy] in my life caused by so many different things.
I really should get over my stupid self-consciousness and release a whole bunch of material. Working on that - spent about a month away from the internet to be less of an asshole and more down to earth.
Here's some sound from aforementioned unreleased thing. This has no name, I just typed "Telepathic Kid" as a placeholder. It's not very good (TTK's stuff is, fact, he has the best track on OOT VI): quasi SOTL wankery +
damaged ondes my brother told me he'd fix, liar.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

I guess?? :O Nothing wrong with that mañana vibe, you have always had that uncannily relaxing guitar-play, though it's definitely improved. "my best friend is the microwave" is still in my subconscious somewhere.koroviev wrote:Haha, thanks, I guessCupz wrote:Missed this, this is very wonderful.
