Didn't MDG say that the good ol box set of unheard boc stuff was to come out after the "next" album which was TH?
So it would make some since that the next release will not be a album but the box set.
this thread is full of shenanigans.

I'd honestly be fine with a bunch of old stuff over a brand new release, their earlier work is my favourite of their catalog. Though I do really want to hear what they've been up to as of recent...

Fuck that, Old stuff is for the completist nerds with unhealthy obsession, new music is for real music lovers ;)
You could feel the bullshit

I can tell you there's more than one record in an advanced stage right now.
I wonder what happened to that other one (this post is from 2009)...
Sorry for my bad english.

Yeah, I was not really expecting anything from them quite yet even if the end of this particular sequence bears fruit.

I thought I heard about some viral thing from Battles recently too but I guess its more of a different thing genre wise than RDJ vs BoC would be.

I think I speak for all of us in saying I'd be incredibly happy if there is a BoC remix on this upcoming Aphex release.

I find it kind of amusing that they could release old stuff and just say it was new and nobody would know the difference.

The Ultimate BoC release:

A Boards of Canada Ham Radio/DOS Computer kit (radio tower included in the deluxe kit) and a frequency to tune into a BoC number station. Punch the number station code into the console provided in the kit to gain access to the ever changing frequency where we can listen to their awesome radio show and live studio feeds including live jam sessions, and previously recorded tunes old and new.

Read this post, Chas and Sauce. You already have a name for the show: "Cosecha Transmissiones". Make it happen. :P hahaha

Or a BoC Twitch Creative channel streaming Super 8 nature documentary & Home movie footage, spliced with subliminals and maybe some weird 70s porn, with accompanying music & soundscapes.

Sauce: "Again?!?!"

WARP30 Anniversary is coming next year. It's crazy that it's already hitting the big three-zero. It feels like WARP20 wasn't long ago at all.

Here's hoping that BoC does something special for the anniversary. I suspect that they will.

They did absolutely nothing for MHTRTC's 20 years anniversary (yeah, t-shirts... probably a move from the label, not the band itself). I highly doubt anything will happen in the foreseeable future. At least we've got 8hrs of Autechre new material.

Things could be worse
Well, nope. Aphex has been going downhill for a while now, and I don't expect anything good for his next release.

What part of the future are we able to see? I've never understood that phrase.

They did stuff for Warp's 10th Anniversary and Warp's 20th. MHTRTC's 20th has little to nothing to do with this. Side note: t-shirts and a limited print* But ya, your point seems to be that there was no music and I completely agree that it was most likely cash grab from the label. It's still irrelevant. How often have BoC released new music for their own anniversaries? They are, however, consistent with the warp anniversary events. I really think we'll at least get 1 song from them like we did last time.

I agree that Aphex's last album and anything i heard around that was pretty "meh" for me - but this new track has been stuck in my head since I heard it and I really enjoy it.

The video is great too.
I AM GOD. THE ULTIMATE RESONANCE.

There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.

I think it is, too! I'll be grabbing the EP when it's out.
