Significance of the number 33
This number has been following me for months. I see it in different contexts every day. It began when I noticed that my hometown’s sea level elevation is listed as 33 on the city limits sign. Since then, although I have not been looking for it, I have come across this number at enough seemingly random times that I am beginning to think there is a message I am meant to receive.
Personal encounters aside, there is a strong association with Freemasonry (system of 33 degrees). Also in Hebrew numerology “amen” = 33. Jesus’ age at death and resurrection. Roswell, Disneyland, etc. located along the 33rd parallel. And then there’s the 333 God’s End-Times SOS Ministry.
What am I being told?

You're not being told anything. when you look or expect things wether it is subconsciously or consciously, you'll spot them more often.
That and synchronicity.
Im not gonna hide to you that numerology (Its real name is gematria, numerology is different, its only about 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9. Gematria is the encoding of numbers in words and art. (specially the interlinear bible)) Is present everywhere to our day to day life. and nobody can deny it. it's even outside the realm of conspiracy theory. (Take for example the fact that Washington DC in aerial view is a god damn inverted pentagram thats pointing perfectly south and that the washington monument stand at 169.294 meters in height (THATS GOD DAMN 666 INCHES, THINK ABOUT IT)).
But to come back to your question ... no you're not being told anything by life or god/whatever. Rich people get bored and dabble in the occult.

I agree with most everything you just said apart from that. I think there is far more than boredom at play personally. I used to be an atheist etc, but I came to the understanding that they wish for people not to believe in a higher power or anything beyond what we can see because it would quickly reveal their world to us. Whether it "works" or not, they believe they are harvesting and benefiting from the energy and blood of other humans. I mean that not in a metaphorical sense at all.TheStatPow wrote: Rich people get bored and dabble in the occult.
Also, was your name not always "TheStrawPot" or am I really that terminally dyslexic?

If you have nearly 4 hours to kill:
Re: Significance of the number 33
People unconsciously perceive what they want to perceive, it's all part of the conditioning of your mind. It's all concepts, concepts and then some more concepts. The logic and patterns that can be applied may look like a coincidence but they aren't. If you want to see a 33 in everything or believe that it has any significance whatsoever then that is what you will perceive. It's not rocket science, just plain brainwashing.
In other words, concepts don't contain any truth and never will. It's just a mind game, or more like a mental masturbation if you will. If you're looking for truth in these things then you are entering a never-ending maze or mind loop. Like a snake that is unknowingly devouring its own tail.
If you proceed, please do so with caution.

Nope, never was called that. but I had a good laugh, I'll keep that one in mind next time I make up a nickname

It means be strong you'll find the answer to the problems you're facing. Other than that, are you on your own? Passing family member or friend?Maybe a hero died? Ever heard this song? Pull your collar up and face the cold, on your own!

Re: Significance of the number 33
I've personally had really really weird encounters or Synchronicities related to repeating number sequences. Mainly 1111 and 111float face wrote:This number has been following me for months. I know... how new age of me. But seriously really weird shit with multiple witnesses odd defying things that belong in an episode of Arthur C. Clarks Mysterious world. Could it be BS ? possibly, but for the spirit of the conversation, lets consider that there is something connected to reoccurring patterns like this.
It's my personal opinion based on new science that we are indeed in a simulation. I think sequences like this show up like a reality feedback loop, a veiw into infinity. For the Occult nature of 33 & 11 they're master numbers, 33 is also a fibonacci number.
In the Thelema for example, the concept of "Will" is a big deal, Will is the very first anything performed by a consciousness entity. We as humans cannot effect anything in the universe with out willing it to occur. This act of Will might be deeply connected to the fabric of our reality. Number sequences, like the ones you describe and that occult literature discribe could be the bi product of an algorithm that projects our consciousness thought into a chosen reality.
But we don't choose reality, we live in a world bound by rules and we're just guests inside of it, right?
Yes and no. Scientists just confirmed the findings of the famous double slit experiment. In a nutshell the experiment's results show a paradoxical outcome, that the experiment performed had different results based on the observer. If true, it means that objective reality is not real. Meaning there is no right or wrong, it's both simultaneously and the "Observer" somehow chooses the outcome.
That's pretty much a slam dunk case for a multiverse and now it's a multiverse that you directly effect somehow. So number sequences could be a feedback loop from the result of that process occurring. What you may be seeing is a aside effect from your reality generation mechanism.
Here's the link
https://www.technologyreview.com/s/6130 ... e-reality/
For example. One of the leading researches in the felid of simulation theory is Dr. James Gates. Has found a fascinating synchronicity connected to repeating sequences. In this case, 1111. He's found that the universe seems to have computer error correcting code algorithms and that code directly involves the sequence of 1111 in the folding process of the geometric objects that encode mathematical relationships between supersymmetric particles *gasps for air!*.

On Synchronicities. It's hard to talk about this subject without people rolling their eyes. But I do empathize theres a lot of bullshit on this topic. The secret ruined everything...
But there are some people like this guy. He's working on investigating this weird phenomena. Great interview too!
Then there's the very old work of Micheal Talbot and his Idea of the Holographic universe,
And the great book Simulacra and Simulation.
So when you put all of these topics together, I feel like the significance of numbers like these all seem to lead back to being stuck in a computer simulation.
Lastly
Nothing is real.

Re: Significance of the number 33
Gematria is half crap. If you're talking about religion and whatever is "hidden in plain sight" it's alright. But those who are over obsessed about it need to stop (example: people who go on news article/Sport Scores/Names and try to find any weird numerology)
a few months ago in my weird gematria phase I wrote a software in python that would take a link and parse it/analyse everything numberwise on a webpage in mostly every cipher with either 1/2/3/4/5 word and then calculate the number that came up the most and what percentage of the whole text they made up.
https://imgur.com/a/8YCh05V
I realised VERY quickly that gematria is a waste of time and should only be a hobby, anything more than that and you've fallen in the trap. If you are a conspiracy theorist just do what's best for you: Aknowledge that such things exist, stop bothering about it and work on your inner self.

Re: Significance of the number 33
I remember the time I went full on philosophical-mode, trying to make sense of everything. And it was a good time, for a while. At some point I started to realize that there is actually nothing to realize. Life just is, it cannot be understood by the mind, but it can be known. There is a huge difference between the two. What you call your life is not really your life, it's just a story in your head. All that is is already happening Now and it is an eternal moment, but what is appearing in this moment is always changing. Look at it as a wide open space in which everything is already unfolding. It is Now and it is forever, timeless. That is the nature of life, eternal change. But there is something or someone that is able to observe that which is bound to change. It can't be understood, but it can be known with practice.
The mind will never ever find a satisfying conclusion about the nature of consciousness, because it is consciousness itself that precedes the movement of thinking. Thought cannot exist without consciousness, but consciousness does exist without thinking. If you look at a flower you can call it the word 'flower' and think about the name of the flower and its characteristics, colors, etc. But, and I know this sounds airy fairy, there is a deeper dimension of silence and space that sees the flower not as a conceptual object, but as life itself. The flower is an expression of life, just as you are. When all concepts fall away, when the mind is silent, you know your current experience as it is, without filters, opinions, concepts. That is all there is, it's really that simple and you start to see the beauty in everything. The mind is always seeking, always looking for something outside. It cannot see completion, peace and happiness because it is too busy trying to fix something or look for something, achieve something greater than life itself. And it will always need time, the future, to do so. Or it needs the past to hold onto.
The "problem" of humanity in a nutshell.
I can see why it's tempting to follow these breadcrumbs theories and stuff though, it's the mind that likes these themes and concepts, making seemingly metaphysical connections. But as far as awakening concerns it's 100% a dead-end. It could be true in a way you know, that there is a matrix and everything is build on some kind of divine code, whatever. The point is, what any person (whether they know it or not) is looking for is peace and happiness, a longing to be free. Free from suffering, free from mind. And the great paradox here is that it cannot be found, because peace and happiness are one's nature. You cannot find what you already are. "What you are looking for, is where you are looking from", it's a great saying. It cannot be found in conceptual truths like these. The one and only truth is a truth that is free from anything and will free you from everything. Not a so-called truth bound by concepts and duality.
Now, please carry on
