AMAZING NEW BOARDS VIDEOS!

Post by prizmodo »

A buddy of mine just informed me of this filmmaker that put together these videos set to BOC.

www.neilkrug.com

Probably the best BOC videos I've seen thus far. The "beautiful place" part is sublime super 8.

FYI, high version is the best for viewing!!

Yeah, I just found out about it!

The synchronization of the visuals with the music is perfect.

Even the super 8 damage hits on beat.

Fantastic.

Though the last bit for "Ataronchronon" was screaming out "Sherbet Head" for me.

Some of those geometric kaleidoscopic bits were just breathtaking.

Thanks for the link!

Hey Prizmodo, whereabouts in Kansas do you live?

The production of the video is awesome but the kaleidoscope vs damage hits(crackle?) is getting too cliché for me. Ok, this one was very professional and all that, which of course is excellent but I'd like to see something fresch.
The frontpage is awesome though.. the trees in the background are mirrored while the people in the front aren't.

That's awesome, thanks for the link. It's nice to see a Boc video put together professionally instead of those crappy youtube videos.

even though the kaleidascope thing is a bit overdone, this is the best use of it i've seen so far. it's like the geogaddi postcards coming to life. gorgeous.

Have you made any? If not, then respect the effort of the people who has put down some work on those crappy videos.
Just because this one is hi-res and has the Super 8 kaleidoscopic child movies that everybody expected from the Dayvan Cowboy video, it doesn't make it a work of art. It's very nice and well done but kind of a cliché too. Not really creative.

Maybe it lacks originality, but it is executed beautifully and professionally.

Despite the fact that the video has your typical BOC cliches throughout the entire length of the piece, I still found it to be the closes thing to a real BOC video along side the "invocation" piece they put out earlier this year.

There are hundreds of BOC videos all over the net, but this struck a cord with me. My girlfriend watched it and said, "someone finally got it right'

Yeah, I hear ya on that. I did one like that too and after I looked at it, it's like yup I was trying to make it look like something boards would have done like 4 years ago. I think when BoC did the Dayvan video they wanted to throw in the whole surfing thing in to get away from a typical idea they would have had for a video, they wanted to let the fans do that, haha (i dont know). Just cause the music makes you feel like you did when you were a kid doesn't mean they need kids at birthday parties picking their nose eating corn chips in the video. But this IS the best one I have seen so far! Very nice indeed!

Exquisite video, well made. It reminded me again that the music of BoC is a beautiful place to live in. :)
