That's kinda cheating

I think my main point is that most true boc fans have heard this.. Warp recognising it doesn't mean anything.. I'm not happy about that. It means literally nothing
I understand the sentiment, but recall that this is on NTS 2 and not the main NTS station.
If they advertised Boards of Canada and then, for their main event, played a bootleg of their Warp10 performance - Then I would most likely empathise if you wanted to go and smear fecal matter all over the pristine walls of their head office.

Haha. I'm going to let them off this time.

Making light of it helps overcome the complete and utter spirit crushing despair :)

That is not me, for the record. The latter portion of the quote ascribed to me is, though.
I know the quoting system can be a bit of a pain here sometimes, though.

So there’s no proof of a Lighthouse Party soundboard either.
The warp event they are talking about is the Warp10 (1999)
The tracks listed here are all either from the Lighthouse Party or ATP 2001.
It does get slightly confusing at times, I've had to go back over the Bocpages of live events just to be sure.

For all we know, there genuinely isn't a soundboard recording of BoC's contribution to Warp10.
I know the one they’re playing is Warp 10. I was referencing your claim that clips have been heard from both ATP and Lighthouse, as evidence that there must be soundboard recordings of all the shows. I think we only have evidence of a recording for the ATP show and nothing else.

I think you are pretty spot on with this observation.
The wxaxrxp event seems to only encompass NTS Station 1 officially. Station 2 are likely choosing to provide Warp related content so that listeners can dip in and out according to their tastes. I do have a feeling that Warp aren't involved in the schedule for NTS 2 over the weekend, so despite the fact that people would naturally automatically want to blame Warp for the oversight, chances are that they aren't even involved much. If they are involved, it is a positive that they have accepted a bootleg into their domain rather than treating it with negativity.

Given that soundboard audio exists for the other two in the catalogue of performances under Warp, it is unusual that one wouldn't exist for Warp10, but not impossible.

Hey, no worries! sorry I get a bit touchy about having words that aren't mine connected to my name.
The way that quotes are edited here can be confusing at times and I have made worse errors before as a result.
Thanks for correcting it (-:

Interesting to see that on NTS 2 they have music from Chris Morris (The Day Today/Brass Eye/Four Lions) who is one of my favorite comedy writers and actors, he is at least somewhat connected to BoC as he was name-dropped by them in the late 90s as potentially being involved in a future project. They also have an audio interview from Aldous Huxley who is my favorite author.

I think I should really start getting into NTS radio.

My point is that there IS no proof of a recording for the Lighthouse party either, unless you know something I don’t. The only high quality recording we have of a track from it is Spiro and there’s no reason to believe that’s a live version.

What concerns me about the way this is listed is that the BoC is not under the unheard section... but then again the rumor from Reddit was that nobody knows anything about whats in BoC's mix...

Regarding the streaming of the Warp 10 show, is it possible that the recording can be a soundboard and a bootleg at the same time? If its a recording that BoC made themselves but just never gave to Warp, does that make it a bootleg? I will be slightly miffed if I have to listen to those two jabbering on during the best part of the show. The other bootleg annoyance was the people bitching about the lasers but that was from ATP, right?

Yes, because when you look at it, NTS 2 channel has lot of lectures (Huxley, McKenna, Sunra ..), avant-garde electronic music from 1960s and 1970s etc. neither of which has anything to do with Warp, or perhaps only by association. That all looks more like a typical NTS content than something provided by Warp. They will even play David Lynch's album 'The Air Is on Fire' which was not released by Warp at all. ... So it seems that only channel 1 is Warp 30 event curated directly by Warp, while channel 2 seems to be Warp related content arranged mainly by NTS themselves.

yup that's the one. from the alleged Noatak track. Warp10 is probably the best out of the 3 with the infamous "what a treat" at the end...

We also have the soundboard recording of Julie and Candy from that event uploaded by AtlantaFugiens with, according to those who were present, the same or very similar visuals used as to when it was played at the Lighthouse.

I am unsure as to whether Spiro is sourced from that performance or if it is just a studio replica.

I will say it again... while I can’t know for certain, It is more common than you guys might think that a show isn’t recorded in soundboard quality.... do we have any full soundboard shows from any of the other artists that night because as far as I could gather there aren’t any... many times a band would ask to record but sometimes even the venue holder would request that no shows get recorded and as unfortunate as that sounds it is very common because as a live audio engineer it happened to me and my boss quite often... sometimes a band or label would only request

^ I agree, Soul_Slip
Having a soundboard audio recording of a concert isn't the norm.
Although I haven't worked in audio on an official level, I have previously come to accept that certain concerts and rarities by other artists aren't and never will be available to the listeners in a soundboard format. Especially if that band is on tour and it is just one of the many shows. Most bands have a designated 'recording night' from a particular leg of their tour and all else is only recorded by fans.

The two performances after Warp10 are known to have soundboard audio, that doesn't directly imply that any of the previous would, though. I base most of the previous on a rumor that BoC privately recorded all of their shows. There is no way to know.

Edit: I will state, though, that in BoC's case one can't compare it to the industry standard. Their shows are few and far between and they were never truly "on tour". Each show was its own self contained event with a wildly different setlist.

Let's lay out the known facts to avoid any further dispute, I don't like the direction.

1: We have known sources of soundboard audio for ATP and The Incredible Lighthouse Party
2: However, we don't have any known sources of soundboard audio for anything prior to that
3: This includes Warp10 and all previous shows
4: We have no reason to either believe or disbelieve that soundboard audio exists
5: NTS Radio 2 doesn't seem to be affiliated with the WXAXRXP event, and are only playing warp related material of their choosing, interspersed with other non-Warp material.
