Will take a listen in a second when I get my headphones out.
Thank you for all of the work you have put into this purely for the benefit of the community and it is much appreciated.

Isn't this where they took a sample for "On A Rolling Sea"?

Sounds like it. if it is could this tape (societas) contain a lot of songs (if not all) where they took samples?
iirc In there I heard something that sounded a lot like the vocals on happy cycling

I was actually thinking that was a slowed down edited version of the On A Rolling Sea beat when it first played, but now I am obviously not thinking that anymore.
I am starting to wonder if there was actually any original material in the mix at all. Maybe they bamboozled us, which I honestly think is pretty hilarious.
Good find, by the way.

The unidentified track at 1h52m has a lot of sounds very similar to the fadeout of XYZ.

Or maybe as mentioned previously, the Societas' tracklist reveals what they've sampled (for the Old tunes)? Many many sounds in it are very familiar...

That gorgeous track at 57m is BOC, and if it isn't I'll eat my hat, or a big cake that looks like a hat.

There was so much love behind the section with the Aquarius samples and the "It's just an illusion!" vocal. I couldn't stop smiling

Well, this might be the case guys, look at the beginning of this track:
Heldon - Une Drôle de Journée
This sounds like the source for M9 !!!!

Discogs suggests this track was a one off by a guy called Vaughn Hemingway.

Wonder if he's aware!

<333 I wish the quality was a bit better. That's what streams do to highly saturated tracks though. A few tracks aren't too bad. A lot is dependent on the original track's production/sample quality too. Go with WAV if you can.
At least we don't mind some lofi around here. :p

The voice samples we hear between 27.58-28.20 could well be the late
Canadian actor Douglas Rain - most famous for the voice of HAL from 2001.
I think we may need to look at his other film & TV work to see if the other samples where lifted from anything related perhaps?
Hmmm National Film Board of Canada
