Okay, I have searched just about every line of lyrics from that track, using different search parameters etc.

If it is a publicly available track, it isn't one that has its lyrics listed online anywhere.
I think I literally mean anywhere.

From that one can deduce that it is a true obscurity.

Can we dub the track 'Such a long time' in the meantime for continuity?
That seems to be a recurring line.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Probably already pointed out somewhere but the origin of Leo the Lizards part:

Another tedious way of searching for a track is to use the Advanced Search feature on discogs: https://www.discogs.com/search/advanced

and guess the track title (not release title/name) and the decade (and maybe the country? UK / Scotland in this case?) and go through the results.

There may not be that many tracks called "long time ago" or whatever else you want to guess.

This has worked for me before in ID'ing tracks which are not listed anywhere else online. (Light Sounds Dark compilations anyone?)

I mentioned earlier that it might just be an unreleased track by friends of theirs, but what if... it's them?

From their Wikipedia page: "In their teens they participated in a number of amateur bands."

They were born in 70/71, so would've been teens in the mid-80s. This sounds pretty mid-80s to me.

It doesn't really sound like them but it sounds like something on Postcard Records like Orange Juice etc.
Or more likely Fast Product as it was an Edinburgh label.

I don't see it on the tracklist so I just wanted to point out that the Indian Vignette @ 1hr14min (after Filmmaker) is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv7-8ljA6QQ. The full song title is: 'Ek tum ho ek main hoon aur nadi ka kinara' written by Naushad Ali in 1943 for the Hindi film 'Kanoon' for the actress Mehtab. Mehtab sung this song playback. The original singer would be Suraiya Jamal Sheikh oder simply 'Suraiya.' Looks like the Bollywood community on Reddit were able to track it down.

I has that very quintessentially 80's (what I used to call the washing machine effect as a kid) vocal chorusing.

That isn't impossible. From what I can recall, marcus was in some form of metal band and I was under the impression that Mike's interests always revolved around synthesizers to a certain extent but I could be wrong.

I have always been convinced that the "I'm listening" sample on Aquarius is actually them, just comparing the vocal timbres to their radio interview.

Guys, I still can't get over how great this mixtape was. An easy A+ from me- I enjoyed it so much that it makes two hour fly by in the blink of an eye. It makes me smile just thinking about the joy that was interacting with everyone here while it was unfolding. And we got some neat unreleased BoC out of it, somewhere in that mix (right after Garden Botanum I believe) was easily one of the best ambient tracks I have ever heard. I think I've listened to the entire thing about 6 or 7 times now, and I find myself admiring it more and more each listen. I'm really hopeful for future activity, hopefully we cross paths with that sooner rather than later.

I think some of the tracks may be from pre-twoism albums. Juding by the sounds featured on it, it safe to say, it still may be out there, not destroyed. I have high hopes. According to some who listened to it, the albums were mellow, disjointed electronica was not particularly revolutionary, now that this mixtape came out, I think I found the music match the description. Anyon here agree?

Hi all,
I had to mention that after various listens, this mix feels so deeply twisted, going from one emotion to a very different other one, pure psychedelia here...the bros are fucking up with my brain and i love it.
The only thing coming to my mind if I had to resume the tape is, it is either what the characters from the "Evil Dead" heard while reading the Necronomicon in their cabin, or a found tape on the backseat of Scooby-Doo's Mystery Machine after a week-end of hardcore tripping in the woods.

I listened to a little of it and though...Poopoo. It's not Boards of Canada. It's music mike and marcus listens to?

Yeah, if that's what you wanna think. The title is original and thought to be new "Boards of Canada". Right? No!

You would think the anticipation it caused to devoted listener aka "fan" it would leave a good impression. But did it? For me? No!

It was poopoo and only made you think you had a closer relationship with the guys that made all of their wonderful music we know. But, do they care about that? No! Why? Because they have your money!

Hopefully they'll stop dicking us around and be sweet sooner than later. Ciao
