XYZ has also just been released on Spotify, Apple Music etc. Finally we are able to officially listen to it everywhere

Gotta admit, I like that it says it’s a new single released by BoC in 2019. Oh, how I have longed to read those words again.

The track length seems different to other recordings of it.

I see 9:38 on bocpages (timed from the original broadcast?), 8:43 on the BoC CDr of this, and this new release is 8:03.

I'm more than happy to be getting the official download release, better than nothing. It must have the lads blessing for whatever the reason?

I imagine Warp constantly pressuring them for material for these kind of anniversary releases and XYZ was the easiest thing for them to give the OK to.

Exciting! I guess they cleared the sample then.

"Samples 'It Would Be Like Samoa' by Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese. It is likely that this sample was not cleared, hence why the track never appeared on the official Peel Session release."

In this HQ version, you can hear a person screaming in the right channel, especially at 4:04-4:05

I was wondering the same thing. The track length on Bleep is exactly the same as on the original Peel Session CD so I'm guessing it's the version we've already got
